Understanding beliefs about corporal punishment is crucial, as evidence suggests that positive in its effectiveness predict use. High parental stress, especially those valuing punishment, increases the potential for child abuse. Despite having adverse physical and mental health outcomes, harsh disciplinary methods are commonly practiced all over the world. This study aims to measure actions taken by parents their association with child functioning in children, aged 7 14 years Punjab, Pakistan. is based on secondary data obtained from United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF's) Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, conducted Punjab province 2017 2018. Parents/caregivers of 19,721 children were included analysis. Questionnaire-based interviews conducted, collection form sociodemographic information, questions different "Methods Child Discipline" "Child module." The was analyzed using STATA 15.0. logistic regression analysis calculate adjusted odds ratio 95% CI exploring between functioning. More than 50% exposed severe physical, psychological, emotional methods. Background: Corporal punishment in educational settings is a controversial issue that has been shown to impact student mental health adversely. Despite global movements against its use, physical disciplinary methods are still prevalent many parts of the world, including Kohat District KPK, Pakistan. Understanding psychological repercussions these practices crucial for fostering healthier learning environments.
