Methods conducted a systematic review meta-analysis studies measuring lasting for at least three months after severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) comparison non-COVID-19 control groups. searched MEDLINE Embase (via Ovid), CINAHL EBSCOhost), ProQuest Coronavirus Research Database, World Health Organization COVID-19 Database relevant literature on 14 February 2023. The symptom list had 10 categories with 29 symptoms, including general, neurologic, respiratory, cardiac, dermatologic, eye, ear, musculoskeletal, psychiatric, gastrointestinal performed random-effects summarised results using odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (CI), which we subgroup analyses. Results included 51 17 901 204 participants (range mean age: 5.9–65.4 years; range proportion women: 11.2–96.0%). In primary analysis, significantly higher risk having one (OR = 2.032; CI 1.787–2.310). Specifically, they 25 highest were smell 8.474; 6.357–11.295), taste 5.881; 3.818–9.059), post-exertional malaise 3.187; 2.602–3.904), shortness breath 2.497; 2.125–2.935), brain fog 2.093; 1.362–3.218), hair loss 2.082; 1.291–3.358), chest pain 2.056; 1.692–2.498), cognitive decline 1.992; 1.560–2.544), palpitations 1.986; 1.647–2.395), fatigue 1.971; 1.781–2.182). found significant differences different follow-up times decline, dizziness, palpitations, sleep problems (P < 0.05).
