ABSTRACT
Introduction
Premenstrual
syndrome
(PMS)
affects
nearly
half
of
women
worldwide
and
is
associated
with
sleep
disturbances,
though
the
specific
relationship
between
PMS
nightmares
remains
underexplored.
Clinical
observations
suggest
a
potential
link,
leading
this
study
to
investigate
whether
experience
more
frequent
or
intense
compared
those
without
PMS.
Methods
We
conducted
prospective
case
series
seven
experiencing
nightmares,
all
whom
participated
in
weekly
imagery
rehearsal
therapy
(IRT)
over
1‐month.
Each
participant
completed
daily
record
severity
problems
(DRSP)
assess
symptoms
kept
dream
diaries
throughout
one
menstrual
cycle,
tracking
nightmare
frequency,
intensity,
emotional
valence.
The
index
(NSI)
was
administered
at
beginning
end
study.
Descriptive
analysis
used
for
metrics,
Wilcoxon
signed‐rank
test
employed
changes
NSI
scores.
Results
Women
exhibited
an
increase
frequency
during
premenstrual
phase,
but
no
formal
statistical
comparisons
were
made
non‐PMS
groups
regarding
intensity.

significant
reduction
scores

=
0.03)
observed
across
entire
sample,
effect

subgroup.
Conclusions
This
first,
our
knowledge,
provide
detailed
longitudinal
data
indicating
that

BACKGROUND:
Takotsubo
syndrome
(TTS)
is
an
acute
reversible
heart
dysfunction
affecting
mostly
post-menopausal
women,
frequently
precipitated
by
a
significant
stressful
event,
presenting
as
coronary
(ACS)
in
the
absence
of
obstructive
artery
disease.
The
pathogenesis
