BACKGROUND Health inequalities among older adults become increasingly pronounced as aging progresses. In the digital era, some researchers argue that access to and use of technologies may contribute or exacerbate these existing health inequalities. Conversely, other believe can help mitigate disparities. OBJECTIVE This study aimed investigate relationship between divide inequality offer recommendations for promoting equity. METHODS Data were obtained from 2018 2020 waves China Retirement Longitudinal Study. Physical, mental, subjective assessed using Activities Daily Living (ADL) scale, Instrumental Mini-Mental State Examination a 5-point self-rated respectively. The chi-square rank sum tests used explore whether internet associated with status. After controlling confounders, multiple linear regression models further determine this association. Sensitivity analysis was conducted propensity score matching, heterogeneity analyzed different influencing factors. RESULTS highlighted widening disparities due use, statistically significant increases in (3.9%), ADL (5.8%), cognition (7.5%). Similarly, widened gaps (7.5%) (7.6%). demonstrated improved adults, reducing (3.8%), (2.1%), instrumental (3.5%), (7.5%), results, except ADL. Internet also narrowed disparities, effects on (4.8%) (12.8%). robustness results confirmed through score–matching paired tests. addition, found depending sex, age, education, region. CONCLUSIONS impact showed trends 2020. These findings underscore importance addressing challenges barriers particularly during early stages adoption. It is recommended promote equitable benefits policy interventions, social support, technological advancements.

Abstract Background Clinical nurses play an important role in ensuring patient safety. Nurses’ work experience, organizational environment, psychological cognition, and behavior can all lead to safety issues. Improving nurses’ attention issues enhancing their competence dealing with complex medical help avoid preventable nursing adverse events. Therefore, it is necessary actively identify the latent profiles of competency clinical explore influencing factors. Methods A cross-sectional design was conducted. total 782 Chinese registered were included study. Demographic characteristics questionnaire, Error Management Climate scale, Security Questionnaire, Proactive Behavior Performance scale Patient Safety Competency Self-Rating Scale Nurses used. Latent profile analysis (LPA) performed categorize into subgroups differences. Multinomial logistic regression conducted factors (PSC) different profiles. Results questionnaires valid. PSC positively related error management climate, proactive behavior. The score 121.31 (SD = 19.51), showing that at level medium on high side. climate 70.28 11.93), which a relatively level. 61.21 13.44), indicating moderate low 37.60 7.33), result showed three groups models fitted acceding evaluation PSC. They defined as Low-competency Group (74 (9.5%)), Medium-competency (378 (48.3%)) High-competency (330 (42.2%). Working years, professional titles, departments, security Conclusions had obvious classification characteristics, main working This study suggests managers should pay continuous cultivation among nurses, provide targeted intervention measures for stages, use efficient strategies create positive atmosphere. Crowding and patient flow management are among the most relevant issues for emergency departments (EDs). This results in delayed treatment, adverse outcomes increased costs. For these reasons, nurse-independent treatment protocols were developed aimed at managing non-emergency patients outside EDs thus improving flow. Our objective was to assess potential impact of implementation "See-and-Treat" protocol on eligible related healthcare costs an Italian ED. We selected all minor access codes from 2022 ED Sassuolo Hospital Northern Italy. only included subjects discharged home, while we excluded those who required specialized medical care or had received "Fast-Track" treatment. identify a list conditions inclusion See-and-Treat calculate Of 40,906 individual admissions, 2,607 (6.4%) qualified management. Limb injuries pain leading presentation. Through cost analysis, found that may result savings over €100,000/year Hospital, €7 million if projected entire Emilia-Romagna Region. Despite some limitations affecting implementation, especially availability highly-specialized specifically-trained nurses, study provided foundation more comprehensive understanding as possible valid model with view both human economic resources.

Abstract Background As the global population continues to age, social realities such as advanced disability and living alone are coming fore, demand for medical care health services elderly is increasing dramatically, especially in geriatrics. Given important role geriatric nurses play diagnosis treatment of diseases rehabilitation patients, due uniqueness complexity work, this requires not only have competencies that available general nursing, but also ensure they sufficient core order effectively meet needs patients accelerate their recovery. Although previous studies investigated nursing staff, there has been little research on nurses’ predictors. The aim study was investigate current status competency inventory (GNCI) among using latent profiling, identify potential subgroups characteristics, explore factors influence subgroups. Methods From January March 2024, 1,313 Hefei City were selected by stratified cluster sampling method surveyed with information questionnaire, inventory, occupational coping self-efficacy scale nurses(OCSE-N). Potential GNCI differences identified profile analysis (LPA). Multiple logistic regression analyses used influencing different profiles. Results Geriatric OCSE-N positively correlated GNCI, score 123.06(41.60), which indicated at an intermediate level. 35.44(7.34), a relatively high There heterogeneity nurses, classified into three i.e., Low-competency group, Medium-competency High-competency group. results multiple showed OCSE-N, title, whether or attended nurse specialist training, predictors ( P < 0.05). Conclusion categorical characteristics obvious, managers should adopt targeted interventions according profiles improve overall quality care.
