Modern treatment, a healthy diet, and physical activity routines lower the risk factors for metabolic syndrome; however, this condition is associated with all-cause cardiovascular mortality worldwide. This investigation involved randomized controlled trial, double-blind, parallel study. Fifty-eight participants of syndrome according to inclusion criteria were into two groups given probiotics ( Lacticaseibacillus paracasei MSMC39-1 Bifidobacterium animalis TA-1) (n = 31) or placebo 27). The had mean age 42.29 ± 7.39 43.89 7.54 years in groups, respectively. Stool samples, anthropometric data, blood chemistries taken at baseline 12 weeks. primary outcome was achieved by group as their low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol level dramatically lowered compared (the difference 39.97 26.83 mg/dl, p-value <0.001). Moreover, significant reductions body weight, mass index, waist circumference, systolic pressure, total cholesterol observed volunteers treated placebo. In gut microbiome analysis, results showed statistically differences beta diversity post-intervention group. Blautia , Roseburia Collinsella Ruminococcus among microbiomes that more prevalent addition, exhibited increases predicted functional changes ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, well ribonucleic acid transport, biosynthesis unsaturated fatty acids, glycerophospholipid metabolism, pyruvate metabolism. conclusion, research demonstrated L . Respiratory tract and gastrointestinal infections in pediatric populations are major public health concerns. Addressing these challenges necessitates effective preventative therapeutic strategies. This study assessed the efficacy of probiotic Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis B8762 (0.5 × 1010 CFU) reducing duration frequency young children. In a randomized trial, 115 eligible children were assigned to either (n = 57; 3.51 ± 0.48 months old) or placebo 58; 2.78 0.51 group, with daily consumption for 4 weeks. The group demonstrated lower than (p < 0.05). also showed fewer clinical visits due respiratory problems as compared 0.009 & p 0.004, respectively). Oral swab samples revealed that had higher levels pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α after weeks 0.033), while balanced response, indicating modulation immune system. Genomic analysis harbors various genes synthesis proteins vitamins crucial gut Both genomic findings suggested offered effect on children, highlighting its potential managing common infections.

With growing recognition of the pivotal role gut microbiota in human health, probiotics have gained widespread attention for their potential to restore microbial homeostasis. However, a critical challenge persists: limited colonization efficiency among most probiotic strains compromises therapeutic efficacy. This overview synthesizes ecological principles with cutting-edge microbiome research elucidate dynamic interplay between dietary components and within intestinal niche. systematically analyzes: (1) stage-specific mechanisms spanning introduction, establishment, proliferation; (2) nutrient-driven modulation composition function; (3) dual common patterns as both facilitators disruptors persistence. Notably, this identifies key strategies, including precision delivery prebiotic fibers polyphenol-microbiota crosstalk, that enhance niche adaptation through pH optimization, adhesion potentiation, competitive exclusion pathogens. Furthermore, critically evaluates current limitations research, particularly strain-specific variability methodological constraints simulating host-microbe-diet tripartite interactions. To bridge these gaps, proposes an interdisciplinary framework integrating omics-driven strain selection, engineered systems, personalized nutrition models. Collectively, work advances mechanistic understanding diet-microbiota interactions while providing actionable insights developing targeted therapies evidence-based interventions optimize ecosystem resilience.

Neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), the most common form of dementia, represent a growing global health crisis, yet current treatment strategies remain primarily palliative. Recent studies have shown that neurodegeneration through complex interactions within gut–brain axis largely depends on gut microbiota and its metabolites. This review explores intricate molecular mechanisms linking dysbiosis to cognitive decline, emphasizing impact microbial metabolites, including short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), bile acids, tryptophan neuroinflammation, blood–brain barrier (BBB) integrity, amyloid-β tau pathology. The paper highlights major microbiome signatures associated with disease, detailing their metabolic pathways inflammatory crosstalk. Dietary interventions promise in modulating composition, potentially mitigating neurodegenerative processes. critically examines influence dietary patterns, Mediterranean Western diets, microbiota-mediated neuroprotection. Bioactive compounds like prebiotics, omega-3 polyphenols exhibit neuroprotective effects by reducing neuroinflammation. Furthermore, it discusses emerging microbiome-based therapeutic strategies, probiotics, postbiotics, fecal transplantation (FMT), potential for slowing progression. Despite these advances, several knowledge gaps remain, interindividual variability responses need large-scale, longitudinal studies. study proposes an integrative, precision medicine approach, incorporating science into paradigms. Ultimately, cognizance at mechanistic level could unlock novel avenues, offering non-invasive, diet-based strategy managing improving health.

Background/Objectives: Iron deficiency anemia remains a primary global health concern, affecting millions worldwide. Despite the widespread availability of iron supplements, their efficacy is often hindered by poor bioavailability and adverse gastrointestinal effects. This study explores potential probiotics to enhance Fe3O4 NPs through probiotic-mediated mechanisms. Methods: Lactobacillus fermentum, rhamnosus, plantarum were utilized investigate interactions with NPs, synthesized via co-precipitation characterized using transmission electron microscopy, scanning Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction. Results: The results indicated that adhere nanoparticle surface, L. fermentum exhibiting highest adhesion internalization capacity, leading significant increase in 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid (4-HPLA) production (11.73 ± 0.09 mg/mL at 24 h, p < 0.05). Spectroscopic analyses further revealed probiotic metabolism facilitates oxidation Fe2O3. Additionally, nanoparticle-treated cultures demonstrated enhanced bacterial viability metabolic activity, highlighting synergistic effect between nanoparticles. Conclusions: These findings provide compelling evidence for probiotic-assisted supplementation as promising strategy while mitigating side effects conventional supplements.
