Tissue engineering technology has advanced rapidly in recent years, offering opportunities to construct biologically active tissues or organ substitutes repair even enhance the functions of diseased and organs. Tissue-engineered scaffolds rebuild extracellular microenvironment by mimicking matrix. Fibrin-based possess numerous advantages, including hemostasis, high biocompatibility, good degradability. Fibrin provide an initial matrix that facilitates cell migration, differentiation, proliferation, adhesion, also play a critical role cell-matrix interactions. are now widely recognized as key component tissue engineering, where they can facilitate defect repair. This review introduces properties fibrin, its composition, structure, biology. In addition, modification cross-linking modes fibrin discussed, along with various forms commonly used engineering. We describe biofunctionalization fibrin. provides detailed overview use applications skin, bone, nervous tissues, novel insights into future research directions for clinical treatment.

Seawater-immersed wounds can be threatened by high pH, permeability and infection, which may lead to the development of chronic wounds. The present study develops an aggregation strategy for rapid preparation α-lipoic acid (LA)-based bioadhesives at room temperature with strong underwater adhesion emergency treatment trauma in maritime activities. are fabricated from LA, MXene Ag+ through their supramolecular interactions, rapidly formed mild environments, showing interface without adhesive failure caused depolymerization, while exhibiting mechanical self-reinforcing. To further improve strength, formation MXene/Ag+/LA interactions was integrated into poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (pHEMA) electrospinning manufacture electrospun film strength as 2 MPa. sensitive alkaline environments deprotonation LA. released H+ instantly adjust pH weakly seawater-immersed normal deprotonated LA is exert anti-inflammatory functions. Together antibacterial property, applied provide stable barrier protection correct adverse microenvironment, promoting wound healing.

Destroyed skin barriers for extensive cutaneous wounds often bring about delayed healing and even systemic complications. Multifunctional dressing materials targeting different stages of the process have drawn growing concerns to obtain desirable tissue repair. In this study, a self-assembled collagen/tannic acid–zinc (ColTA-Zn) bioadhesive powder with dual cross-linking network was developed infected wound healing. The hydrogen bonds between collagen chains tannic acid, together metal coordination formed by Zn2+ mainly contribute adhesion performances mechanical properties bioadhesive. Furthermore, biocompatible ColTA-Zn exerts antimicrobial effects on Staphylococcus aureus. Crucially, can absorb blood or exudate quickly along rapid gelation adhere surface once contacting wounds, playing roles adsorption, convergence, adhesion. During process, self-gelled exhibits an immunomodulatory effect macrophage polarization ultimately accelerates Therefore, self-assembled, accessible, user-friendly adhesive might be potential candidate dressings adhesive, anti-infectious, conglutinant functions.
