Introduction: During the first six months of an infant’s life, breastfeeding practices are essential for growth as recommended by World Health Organisation (WHO). Breastfeeding also helps to strengthen bond between mother and child. In accordance with this, infants can obtain optimal nutrition through initiation, exclusivity, duration practices. However, it is shown that a who undergoes caesarean delivery has higher chances experience difficulties in than vaginal mothers. Therefore, this study aimed determine prevalence among mothers during after delivery. Methods: This cross-sectional was conducted chosen government Clinics Selangor from July December 2021. A total 424 were recruited, data on socio-demographic obtained. Results: birth, 50.9% exclusively breastfed their infants, 37%. Approximately 55.9% initiated one 24 hours, while 31.1% 13.0% within hour respectively. initiation found have significant effect (χ2(4)=9.751,p-value=.045) while, exclusivity significantly dependent time duration, (χ2(4)=11.88, p-value<.05). Conclusion: From these findings, influenced early predicts longer breastfeeding. support postpartum family members healthcare providers important predicting positive outcomes.

Background To curb neonatal deaths, practices such as skin-to-skin contact (SSC) and early initiation of breast feeding (EIBF) can play an important role. Despite being effective, globally only 48% newborns receive EIBF, SSC is practised at varying prevalence (1%–74%) among low-income middle-income countries. Objectives The objective the current study was to estimate level EIBF practice in Bangladesh examine factors associated with EIBF. Methods cross-sectional used data from Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, (2019). Women reproductive age live birth during last 2 years were included analysis (n=8854). A p<0.05 considered statistically significant (significance α=0.05). Results 16.4% 70.4%, respectively. Despite its well-documented benefits, breastfeeding rates and duration worldwide do not meet the recommended goals set by World Health Organization. Data on infant feeding, socio-demographic, lifestyle perinatal factors were used from 490 mothers (and 958 children), participants at Hellenic National Nutrition Survey between 2013−2015. Clustered multiple logistic regression multilevel mixed-model analyses performed to identify associated with initiation duration, respectively. Maternal lower education [Odds Ratio (OR): 2.29, 95% Confidence intervals (95% CI): 1.30−4.04; p = 0.004], smoking during pregnancy (OR: 3.08, CI: 1.64−5.77; < 0.001), caesarean section (OR 3.26, 1.83−5.83; prematurity 2.74, 1.40−5.37; 0.003) higher birth order 1.30, 1.04−1.62; 0.020) increased odds of initiating breastfeeding. Living in rural areas [beta coefficient b −27.93, 0.043], (b −64.47, −28.76, 0.046) −46.67, 0.048) significantly shorter duration.
