Abstract Background: Several studies have reported that psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) are associated with low levels of resilience and increased suicide risk. However, it remains unknown as to whether mediates or moderates the association between PLEs Therefore, in this study, we aimed explore moderating mediating effect Methods: A total 1100 non-clinical, young adults (aged 18 – 35 years) a negative history psychiatric treatment were enrolled (T1). They followed-up for about 7 months (T2). Variables interest recorded using self-reports. Results: The moderation analysis revealed higher related distress (T1) significantly risk (T2) after adjustment sociodemographic characteristics, depressive anxiety symptoms, childhood trauma, problematic cannabis use interaction was negatively Specifically, correlation level significant positive only participants lower This did not reach statistical significance No found. Conclusions: Findings from present study indicate might protect against people PLEs. Future need effects interventions targeting individuals

Several studies have reported the association of psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) with non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). It has been hypothesized that both constructs might share overlapping backgrounds. This study aimed to investigate relationships between childhood trauma, depression, PLEs and lifetime characteristics NSSI. Participants included individuals aged 18–35 years who had a negative history psychiatric treatment. They were surveyed through computer-assisted web interview. A network analysis was performed. total 4203 non-clinical adults (63.8 % females) enrolled. Suicide is a critical public health issue disproportionately affecting Indigenous communities in Canada, especially children. Research on child suicide remains scarce, resulting limited understanding of its risk and protective factors. Identified dimensions include mental behavioral health, relational issues, significant adverse childhood experiences like abuse, bullying. Studies youth adults also emphasize the effects colonization, policy welfare, systemic racism. The lack research specifically addressing suicidality underscores urgent need for tailored research. This article presents findings from study engaging First Nations Inuit educators, revealing factors linked to suicidal distress among Through reflexive thematic analysis, three major themes emerged: proximal emotional toll distal factors, impact experiences, role material deprivation enhancing risk. Insights educators are vital developing targeted interventions improve prevention efforts.

Background Childhood maltreatment is a well-established transdiagnostic risk factor for suicidal ideation; however, previous studies on their association in schizophrenia have produced highly varied results. Moreover, the mechanism linking childhood and suicide ideation remains unclear schizophrenia. Aims This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate between people with tested whether insomnia mediated this relationship. Method Positive Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Trauma Questionnaire – Short Form Beck Suicidal Ideation Inventory were employed. Logistic regression mediation analysis performed. Results (a) The prevalence of ideation, insomnia, sexual abuse, emotional neglect, physical abuse neglect was 10% ( n = 61), 18% 111), 11% 68), 25% 153), 6.3% 39), 17% 106) 39% 239), respectively. In all, 52% 320) reported maltreatment; (b) patients demonstrated higher maltreatment. Psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) are increasingly being recognized as subclinical phenomena that might predict the development of various mental disorders not limited to psychosis spectrum. Accumulating evidence suggests attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and post-traumatic stress (PTSD) highly comorbid disorders. However, their interactive effect on occurrence PLEs has been investigated so far. Therefore, in present study we aimed investigate interaction between ADHD PTSD symptoms level psychotic-like non-clinical sample. The included 3,000 individuals aged 18-35 years with a negative history psychiatric treatment. The were assessed using self-reports.There was significant association reporting PLEs. This remained after adjustment for age, gender, education, current vocational situation, lifetime problematic substance use, depressive symptoms. Post-hoc tests demonstrated significantly higher levels participants positive screening both compared other subgroups participants. Also, one vulnerability (either or PTSD) reported those PTSD. In turn, no differences vulnerability, i.e., PTSD, observed.Findings from imply be importance early intervention strategies. observed associations require replication clinical samples.

This study, the first to use standardized measures with Spanish examines suicidal 1,251 educators from 107 schools. It analyzes thoughts associated risk protective factors using cross-sectional design. Results show an 18.86% prevalence of ideation, 12.39% occurring in females. Anxiety depression may act as factors, while emotional intelligence resilience might serve identifying teachers without thoughts. The analyses identified four clusters based on severity psychological traits, indicating need for enhanced targeted interventions. Main limitations include design, reliance self-reported data, lack broader perspective sociocultural variables. Evidence highlights tailored interventions reduce teachers' improve well-being.
