Hybrid project management is an approach that combines traditional and agile techniques. The goal to benefit from the strengths of each approach, and, at same time avoid weaknesses. However, due variety hybrid methodologies have been presented in meantime, it not easy understand differences or similarities methodologies, as well as, advantages disadvantages general. Additionally, there only fragmented knowledge about prerequisites success factors for successfully implementing organizations. Hence, aim this study provide a structured overview current state research regarding topic. To address aim, we conducted systematic literature review focusing on set specific questions. As result, four different are discussed, definition, benefits, challenges, suitability management. Our contributes by synthesizing structuring prior work growing area research, which serves basis purposeful targeted future.

Abstract Despite a wide range of scaling frameworks available, large‐scale agile transformations are not straightforward undertakings. Few organizations have structures in place that fit the predefined workflows – while once one applies an off‐the‐shelf framework outside its prescribed process, guidance quickly runs out. In this paper, we demonstrate how to instantiate method configuration process using lightweight experimental approach embedded Action Research cycles. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into agile project management has ushered in transformative capabilities for sprint planning optimization. This review explores the role AI-powered solutions enhancing through dynamic backlog prioritization proactive risk mitigation. By leveraging supervised unsupervised machine learning models, teams can analyze historical data, stakeholder feedback, realtime dynamics to predict task complexity, optimize resource allocation, adapt items based on shifting priorities. paper systematically examines various ML algorithms, such as random forests, support vector machines, neural networks, that decision-making grooming forecasting. Additionally, it evaluates AI-driven tools platforms capable automating estimations, velocity tracking, identifying potential blockers before they impact delivery timelines. Key challenges data quality, model explainability, with existing are also addressed. Through comparative analysis case study synthesis, this underscores value embedding AI intelligence frameworks drive efficiency, enhance team responsiveness, reduce risks. Ultimately, provides a roadmap researchers practitioners aiming implement intelligent systems within modern software development lifecycles.

The qualitative case method allows for analysis portfolios with companies. Fifty-nine from 22 were studied, 43 semi-structured in-depth interviews conducted. results found projects high variability service, product, innovation hybrid implementations Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Spotify Model, Scrum, as well different related PPM, organizational culture, resistance change, strategic leadership. These findings show are a viable option achieving fast time-to-market, increasing team productivity, improving overall communication. Given addressed fifty-nine companies, analytical generalizations allowed us verify theoretically significant patterns can only applied this type company not SMEs. Finally, suggest need managerial development promotes broader orientation PPM; specifically, better skills about implementing these lead organize successfully.
