Abstract In the development of optical see-through (OST) glasses, interdependence among field view (FOV), Eyebox, and resolution has significantly constrained progress over past decades. This paper proposes a groundbreaking solution that combines spherical symmetric design with rotating micro-display technology, successfully overcoming these limitations. transformative approach markedly enhances display performance AR achieving an FOV 90°, supporting single-eye 8K resolution, Eyebox greater than 10 mm, distortion-free effects. Since symmetry represents limit in three-dimensional space, fully utilizing this structure reaches theoretical maximum. will comprehensively verify feasibility technical route through analysis experimental validation.

In the rapidly evolving fields of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual (VR), achieving high diffraction efficiency a wide field view (FOV) is critical for enhancing visual experience. This paper presents three-layer Polarisation Volume Grating (TL-PVG) structure designed to address limitations single-layer PVGs in AR/VR applications. By stacking multiple PVG layers with different tilt angles, TL-PVG achieves an expanded angular bandwidth improved efficiency, enabling brighter more immersive displays. The proposed incorporates polarisation multiplexing optimise optical by approximately 75%, thereby image brightness sharpness. experimental results demonstrate that significantly outperforms traditional PVGs, offering promising solution waveguide elements next-generation study provides comprehensive analysis fabrication process, properties, applications TL-PVGs, highlighting their potential revolutionise technology.
