Mindfulness along with cognitive factors such as metacognition, rumination, and emotion regulation profoundly impact individual mental health well‐being. The primary goal of this study is to understand the global research trends in mindfulness, health, provide a bird’s eye view carried out so far, which provides strong foundation for future research. Bibliometric analysis was using VOS viewer RStudio software, publication data extracted from Scopus database. COVID‐19 pandemic triggered researchers focus more on health‐related issues. Developed nations contributed significantly most bibliometric indicators. In developed countries, well‐being emphasizes key determinants extensively than developing countries. Significant gaps are identified “Mental Health,” “Well‐Being,” “Metacognition.” A significant share activity concentrated European region. Developing need improve their collaborations keeping potential possibility improvement Human Development Index (HDI) achieving Sustainable Goal 3, thereby contributing “Good Health” “Well‐Being” at level.

Low-dose app-based contemplative interventions for mental health are increasingly popular, but heterogeneity in intervention responses indicates that a personalized approach is needed. We examined whether different longitudinal resilience-vulnerability trajectories, derived over the course of COVID-19 pandemic, predicted differences diverse outcomes after mindfulness and socio-emotional dyadic online interventions. The CovSocial project comprised assessment (phase 1) an open-label efficacy trial 2). A community sample 253 participants received 12 min daily or mindfulness-based interventions, with weekly coaching 10 weeks. Before intervention, completed validated self-report questionnaires assessing health. Stress reactivity profiles were from seven repeated assessments during pandemic (January 2020 to March/April 2021) categorized into resilient (more plasticity) vulnerable (less stress recovery profiles. After both only individuals showed significant improvements depression symptomatology, trait anxiety, emotion regulation, recovery. Those did not show any outcome. Limitations this study include relatively small size potential biases associated participant dropout. Brief may be more beneficial those greater levels resiliency plasticity response stressors. More might require intense formats.

Introduction Stress-related diseases pose significant health risks and show wide prevalence. Empirical evidence suggests that contemplative practices, such as socio-emotional dyadic mental exercises, hold promise in mitigating the adverse effects of stress promoting psychosocial well-being. This study aimed to investigate differential two online training programs on response: first involved classic mindfulness while second incorporated a approach known Affect Dyad. Methods The was conducted part longitudinal CovSocial project’s phase 2 context COVID-19 pandemic. 140 individuals participated Trier Social Stress Task (TSST), where response assessed with cortisol saliva samples subjective questionnaires cross-sectional design after active groups finished their intervention period. Participants were randomly assigned group, mindfulness-based or control group did not receive any training. Both consisted ten-week period daily 12-minute app-based practice weekly 2-hour coaching sessions led by teachers. Results showed Dyad but exhibited significantly lower levels at 10, 20, 30, 40 minutes stressor well total output compared during TSST, indicating reduced hormonal social stressor. Subjective markers differences between three groups. Discussion These findings indicate practice, which emphasizes non-judgmental empathic listening acceptance challenging emotions presence others within one's life context, may serve protective factor against triggered fear negative judgments. Given high prevalence stress-related diseases, based practices thus represent an efficient scalable for reduction.

Abstract Psychological resilience has emerged as a key factor in mental health during the global COVID-19 pandemic. However, no work to date synthesised findings across review or assessed reliability of based on quality, so inform public policy. We thus conducted meta-review all types from start pandemic (January 2020) until last search (June 2021). Of an initial 281 papers, 30 were included for characteristic reporting and 15 sufficient quality further inclusion strategy analyses. High-level strategies identified at individual, community, organisational, governmental levels. Several specific training and/or intervention programmes also identified. was insufficient drawing conclusions. A major gap between measuring psychological populations evaluating effectiveness those revealed. More empirical work, especially randomised controlled trials with diverse rigorous analyses, is strongly recommended future research.

Contemplative practice has demonstrated benefits for mental health and well-being. Most previous studies, however, implemented in-person trainings containing a mix of different, mostly solitary, practices focused on pre- to post-training outcomes. In this randomized trial, we explore the immediate differential efficacy two daily app-delivered in shifting emotional (valence, arousal) thinking patterns (thought content future-past, self-other, positive-negative dimensions). For 10 weeks training, 212 participants (18-65 years) performed either novel 12-min partner-based socio-emotional (Affect Dyad) or attention-focused solitary mindfulness-based practice. Using ordinal Bayesian multilevel modeling, found that both types led more positive affect higher arousal. However, whereas partly decrease active thoughts, particularly future-, other-related negative Dyad contrast increases other-related, thoughts. This shift towards social thoughts may specifically support overcoming ruminative associated with self-related thought content. Overall, these findings help inform adaptation scalable app-based different segments population goal improve

Background: App-based contemplative interventions, such as mindfulness-based have gained popularity for the promotion of mental health; however, understanding underlying intervention-specific mechanisms remains limited, especially related to novel inter-relational dyadic practices. Methods: We tested (n = 253) seven putative two brief (daily 12-min) online interventions: attention-focused mindfulness and socio-emotional partner-based, both supported by weekly coaching. Weekly self-reports rumination, worry, psychological flexibility, affective control, social support, acceptance, were obtained over 10 weeks intervention, depression, anxiety, resilience assessed pre- post-intervention outcomes. Results: Significant week-to-week reductions in rumination increases flexibility observed interventions. Only attention-based practice led temporal only control. Mediation analyses with slopes variables mediators detected no significant indirect effects. However, exploratory moderation revealed that intervention-related depressive symptomatology anxiety vulnerability predicted acceptance control group, worry group. Limitations study include reliance on self-report measures, relatively small sample size, absence long-term follow-up assessments indicating need future well-powered longitudinal studies comparing intervention modalities. Conclusions: present preliminary evidence practice-specific active ingredients which can be leveraged enhance their efficiency health.
