Digital Preservation of Banjar Oral Literature: A Mixed Methods Study on the Integration of the 'Lamut' Storytelling Tradition in Modern Cultural Education DOI Creative Commons

Purpose: This research project examines the digital preservation of Banjar oral literature, with a particular focus on Lamut tradition. It employs mixed-methods approach that integrates quantitative analysis and ethnography.Methods: A sequential exploratory design is employed in this research, which combines participatory action (PAR) implementation immersive technologies. The study aims to develop platform facilitates transmission traditional knowledge.Results: results statistical indicates notable enhancement comprehension cultural values (p < 0.001, t = 7.842, df 198) considerable degree technological acceptance (perceived usefulness 4.2/5.0, perceived ease use 3.8/5.0). ethnographic identified five essential performative elements tradition revealed 78% philosophical can be effectively transmitted through platforms. longitudinal data indicated increase community engagement, number active users rising from 250 1,200 over course 12 months, representing 68% retention rate. formation practice multidisciplinary collaboration between Palamutan, technology developers, educators, youth proved an effective strategy for addressing challenges developing adaptive solutions overcome limitations infrastructure rural areas.Conclusions: findings indicate integration technologies pedagogical approaches, when implemented robust methodologies, support sustainability revitalisation intangible heritage age.

This study employs a case design to examine virtual reality (VR) representations of three culturally significant temples in Asia: Kodaiji Temple Japan, Angkor Wat Cambodia, and the Shwedagon Pagoda Myanmar. Each temple was selected for its historical, religious, architectural importance, offering comparative view diverse digital preservation approaches within metaverse. Temple, Zen Buddhist site highlights VR potential convey spiritual ambiance along with aesthetics. Cambodia's Wat, vast Khmer-style complex, presents unique technical challenges digitally capturing intricate carvings expansive layout. Myanmar provides digitizing sacred elements, including ritual practices symbolism embedded structure. The preservation of heritage buildings is a crucial endeavour for countries worldwide. This study presents comprehensive bibliometric analysis the latest trends in smart applications building within context Industry 4.0 and 5.0, covering period 2020–2024. A total 216 peer-reviewed journal articles obtained from Scopus database were subjected to using RStudio VOSviewer. methodology was based on dual analysis, including surface-level examination in-depth exploration. Consequently, new conceptual framework presented achieving heritages. It structured two pillars: physical methods pillar, devices processes, digital involving technologies environments. Also, results revealed that dominant portion literature publications (61%) emphasize specific topics such as interoperability, monitoring, data management, documentation. However, training community engagement represent an insufficient fraction (2–6%), more research needed future. paper concludes by discussing future innovative vision policy industry through urging policymakers promote interoperability standards; address security; fund innovative, low-cost technologies, well advocating sectors public engagement, sustainable preservation, prioritizing skill development programs workforce.
