This study analyzed the effect of boar semen storage and dilution rate on sperm motility, swimming patterns kinematics. It used 35 sexually mature, healthy boars, with an average age 19.0 ± 10.34 months known fertility. Samples were separated into four treatments according to ratio (1:1, 1:4, 1:8 1:16; v:v) Androstar Plus® refrigerated at 17°C in dark for 96 h. Subsamples 12, 24, 28, 72 h using ISAS®v1 Computer-Assisted Semen Analysis System (CASA). Total progressive motility decreased (P < 0.05) as time increased. The percentage morphological abnormalities increased after 48 storage. diluted 1:1 (v:v) had higher values total faster spermatozoa compared other rates. was concluded that plasma membrane integrity showed a significant downward pattern

Enzootic bovine leukosis virus (BLV) and herpesvirus 1 (BHV-1) are very important infectious agents for the livestock industry worldwide. The present study aimed to explore association between natural exposure BLV BHV-1 with sperm quality analyzed by Computer-Assisted Semen Analysis (CASA) systems. Ten sexually mature Brahman bulls, sanitary status BLV+/BHV-1+ (n = 2), BLV-/BHV-1+ 6) BLV-/BHV-1- 2) were evaluated twice, 30 days apart. Results showed that of each bull was not associated semen quality. It found from second collection better due interruption sexual rest. evidence thus revealed a infected generated good-quality contaminated and, therefore, it is essential detect seminal samples prevent spread BLV. A multivariate analysis presence four subpopulations in bulls differ significantly their kinematic patterns respect (P < 0.05), indicating infection-free seronegative best parameters, which improved discrimination according status. Overall, analyses indicate seropositive-infected should be excluded beef cattle farms.
