Background:
Nitrate
(NO3
)
is
a
necessary
element
for
plant
growth,
but
its
excessive
use
in
agricultural
products
causes
different
health
problems.
This
study
aimed
to
investigate
the
relationship
between
NO3
concentrations
vegetables
and
prevalence
of
gastrointestinal
cancers
Minab
city,
Iran.
Methods:
case-control
was
conducted
on
60
people
with
cancer
as
case
group
120
healthy
control
city.
Data
were
collected
through
questionnaire
measuring
concentration
levels
vegetables.

samples
examined
by
reverse-phase
HPLC
(RP-HPLC)
method.
Results:
The

Abstract
The
escalating
concern
over
the
presence
and
health
implications
of
potentially
toxic
elements
(PTEs)
in
drinking
water
has
underscored
need
for
rigorous
risk
assessments.
Our
study
aimed
to
quantify
both
non-carcinogenic
carcinogenic
risks
associated
with
exposure
selected
PTEs—namely
arsenic
(As),
chromium
(Cr),
cadmium
(Cd).
Also,
we
evaluated
ingestion
skin
contact
exposures
during
summer
winter
using
metrics
such
as
hazard
quotient
(HQ),
index
(HI),
cancer
(CR)
children,
adult
males,
females.
For
all
demographic
groups
pathways,
HQ
values
remain
below
established
safety
threshold
(HQ
<
1).
Notably,

consistently
had
highest
average
HI
value
across
male
adults,
female
adults.
Seasonal
variations
were
statistically
significant
