Abstract Aging and cancer exhibit apparent links that we will examine in this review. The null hypothesis aging coincide because both are driven by time, irrespective of the precise causes, can be confronted with idea share common mechanistic grounds referred to as ‘hallmarks’. Indeed, several hallmarks also contribute carcinogenesis tumor progression, but some molecular cellular characteristics may reduce probability developing lethal cancer, perhaps explaining why very old age (> 90 years) is accompanied a reduced incidence neoplastic diseases. We discuss possibility process itself causes meaning time-dependent degradation supracellular functions accompanies produces byproduct or ‘age-associated disease’. Conversely, its treatment erode health drive process, has dramatically been documented for survivors diagnosed during childhood, adolescence, young adulthood. conclude connected superior including endogenous lifestyle factors, well bidirectional crosstalk, together render not only risk factor an important parameter must considered therapeutic decisions.

The aim of this study was to investigate factors affecting psychosocial adaptation in intestinal stoma patients and identify central symptoms that might guide future interventions through network analysis. A multicenter cross-sectional study. All were evaluated for using the Ostomy Adjustment Inventory-20 (OAI-20). Univariate multivariate linear regression used analyse potential relationship between level psychological adjustment individual factors. By analysis, we calculated centrality indicators each node ostomy at different levels low, medium high, respectively. This ultimately enrolled a total 19,909 from 202 Chinese hospitals, out which 6408 reported low adaptation. It found there is negative association being female, partially self-care, completely dependent on others care having no medical insurance with scores. In low-level network, no. OAI-14:limited activity, OAI-9: worried about ostomy, OAI-11:always like patient identified as indicators. Being care, health can be considered characteristics lower Network analysis results provide intervention targets improve Individualised precise carried terms both influencing most influential nodes order patients. No or public contribution.

Aging is a complex process that affects human health and lifespan. While chronological age (CA) significant risk factor for many diseases, it does not fully capture biological changes influence span. This study explores cognitive measures using the Seoul Neuropsychological Screening Battery body composition profiles as potential (BA) markers in older population. Multiple linear regression, principal component analysis (PCA), Klemera–Doubal (KDM) methods were used to construct sex-specific BA formulas from 296 healthy individuals (160 women, 136 men, mean age: 70.3 years). The applied new cohort of 708 diseased people (376 332 73.5 years) generate BAs each sex. Subsequently, we compared classification power CA, BAs, selected variables when differentiating group comorbidity cohort, with sex stratification. As result, found PCA KDM significantly higher than CA but comparable group. yielded accuracies alone. Notably, frontal executive domain score reactance emerged two promising aging. These findings suggest assessments offer more accurate reflection A wider range needed generalize these findings.
