Sustainable socio-economic development largely depends on the sustainability of energy supply from economic, environmental, and public health perspectives. Fossil fuel combustion only meets first element this equation is hence rendered unsustainable. Biofuels are advantageous a perspective, but their environmental economic might be questioned considering conflicts surrounding feedstocks, including land use change vs. food conflict. Therefore, it imperative to put more effort into addressing downsides biofuel production using advanced technologies, such as nanotechnology. In light that, review strives scrutinize latest developments in application nanotechnology producing biodiesel, promising alternative fossil diesel with proven benefits. The main focus placed applications feedstock stage. First, findings concerning nanomaterials nanofertilizers nanopesticides improve performance oil crops presented critically discussed. Then, most results reported recently applying boost biomass by microalgae facilitating harvesting reviewed mechanistically explained. Finally, promises held enhance animal fat livestock, poultry, aquaculture systems elaborated. Despite favorable features biodiesel production, presence nanoparticles living also associated important challenges, which covered discussed work.

Nanotechnology has been a promising plant protection discipline in recent years, attributed to the unique physicochemical properties exhibited at nanoscale. In this context, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have effective various applications, including medical, industrial, and agronomic, during last few control of insect pests raised great interest. The present review mainly provides updated information about use AgNPs elaborated by different synthesis methods, such as biological (plants, microorganisms), physical, chemical, their effect against species agricultural importance belonging order Diptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Hemiptera. physiological toxic effects applying are reported characterized developmental problems, mortality, weight reduction, interference with enzymatic activity, anomalies life cycle. Moreover, final section, action mechanisms through which act on insects also discussed, highlighting alteration transmembrane permeability, interruption DNA replication, protein synthesis, production reactive oxygen (ROS).

In an attempt to model and optimize the biodiesel production from binary oil blends, a BTO40 obtained mixture of Dennettia tripetala (DTO) Luffas cylindrical (LCO) oilseeds was employed in double-stage microwave-assisted batch process (DSMABP). The DTO40 esterified with iron (III) sulfate (Fe2(SO4)3) then transesterified catalyst selectivity between calcined fermented sweet corn stock (CFCS) non-fermented (CNFCS). Catalyst characterization carried out using analyzers, while modeling optimization were statistical tools. produced qualities evaluated, potential tested by reusability test. Results show that suitable for maximum yield 98.92% (wt./wt.) HHV 43.84 MJ/kg, CN 79.73, flash point 120 °C, cloud -3 pour -6 cold filter plugging +2 oxidative stability 4.6 h, carbon residue 0.02% nm. RSMI-Optimal predicted mean value be 99.28% (wt./wt.), ANNGA 99.78% γGCFW 99.82% respectively, at different variable conditions. These values validated triplicate, average means as 98.57% 99.69% 99.71% respectively. usability tests DFSCS has high alkali base catalyst. properties are total agreement recommended standard. study concluded treated 0.1 M Fe2(SO4)3 solution base-catalyzed synthesis can used alternative fuel.
