This paper presents an IoT-based solution for detecting grouting voids in tunnel construction using the Raspberry Pi microcomputer. Voids between primary and secondary linings can compromise structural integrity, traditional methods like GPR lack continuous feedback. The proposed system uses embedded electrical wires lining to measure conductivity, with disruptions indicating unfilled voids. monitors this real time, uploading data a cloud platform engineer access via smartphone. Field tests were conducted full-scale, 600 m long evaluate system’s effectiveness. demonstrated accuracy various geometries, including straight sections, curves, intersections. Abstract This paper presents a method for improving the accuracy of determining person's proximity to building entrance in urban and indoor settings, where Global Positioning System (GPS) Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) signals are often interfered with. Fuzzy logic can be applied variations signal strengths order interpret inverse relationship between GPS weakening WiFi strengthening as person approaches or enters building. As result, fuzzy set 14 33 dBm –68 –31 is created, separating them into weak, medium, strong signals. By using rules, system accurately determine if user 'far,' 'near,' 'at' an entrance, mimicking real-life transitions from outdoor environments. Purpose This paper evaluates the benefits of harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) tools for safety compliance on construction projects in Nigeria. Design/methodology/approach study employed a specialised approach by combining qualitative and quantitative approach. The carried out brief systematic literature review (SLR) to identify variables study. These were prepared questionnaire which was distributed among professionals within Nigerian sector using purposive sampling. A total 140 questionnaires retrieved. collected data analysed Relative Importance Index (RII), Ginni’s Mean (GM) exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Findings revealed that all identified hold considerable importance, with an average RII 0.86, real-time monitoring as most prominent advantage.
