Plant-based phytochemicals are known for their potential sources of anti-inflammatory agents. Various studies reported the disease-healing efficiency medicinal plants' crude extracts, pure compounds, and metal/metal oxide nanoparticles (M/MONPs) against inflammation. The purpose this paper is to review current research status plants as agents by various studies. Phytochemicals representing class flavonoids, terpenoids, polyphenols, saponins, tannins, alkaloids, anthraquinones, chemical constituents essential oils, some M/MONPs were from about 50 treatment inflammatory diseases. natural products these demonstrated promising activities treat skin, liver, cardiovascular, joint, gastrointestinal, neurological, lung inflammation Besides, mechanism actions also summarized briefly. phytochemistry, M/MONPs, have developed novel, safe, lesser side effects Hence, may draw attention scholars more toward investigation in different health disorders.

Coumarin, a naturally occurring compound found in various plants, has rich history of use traditional medicine. Recent research highlighted its anti-inflammatory properties, positioning it as promising candidate for treating inflammatory disorders such rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, and bowel disease. This narrative review aims to comprehensively summarize the current knowledge regarding coumarin's pharmacological effects alleviating conditions by analyzing preclinical clinical studies. The focuses on elucidating mechanisms through which coumarin exerts effects, including antioxidant activity, inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production, modulation immune cell functions. Additionally, paper addresses potential limitations using coumarin, concerns about toxicity at high doses or with prolonged use. Before widespread application, further investigation is needed fully understand benefits risks.
