However, the willingness receive vaccine potential barriers hindrances were unknown. To understand uptake of prior rollout, we explored communities’ knowledge, attitudes barriers. Methods We conducted a mixed-methods cross-sectional study Kampala Ankole subregions February 2021. For household survey, used three-stage sampling select three districts each subregion and, thereafter, 12 villages per district. One adult was interviewed. Additionally, focus group discussions key informant interviews explore vaccination. Modified Poisson regression identify factors associated Results Among 1728 respondents, 52% under 40 years old, 67% female. Fifty-nine percent those who had heard primarly obtained information from radio television (TV). Despite one-quarter reporting that they could cause death or genetic changes, 85% willing it. Persons less than take (76% vs 94%, adjusted prevalence ratio (aPR)=0.85, 95% CI: 0.81 0.89). Trust effectiveness non-vaccine preventive measures (aPR=0.89, 0.80 0.99), living urban areas (aPR=0.84, 0.76 0.91) lack on safety (aPR=0.91, 0.83 0.93) reduced interest taking vaccine. Abstract In this study, we proposed a new data-driven hybrid technique by integrating an ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD), autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA), with nonlinear artificial neural network (NARANN), called the EEMD-ARIMA-NARANN model, to perform time series modeling and forecasting based on COVID-19 prevalence mortality data from 28 February 2020 27 June in South Africa Nigeria. By comparing accuracy level of measurements basic ARIMA NARANN models, it was shown that novel model did better job capturing dynamic changing trends target than others used work. Our mixture can be deemed as helpful policy-supportive tool plan provide medical supplies effectively. The overall confirmed cases deaths were estimated reach around 176,570 [95% uncertainty (UL) 173,607 178,476] 3454 (95% UL 3384 3487), respectively, Africa, along 32,136 31,568 32,641) 788 775 804) Nigeria 12 July using technique. contributions study include three aspects.
