The world is currently grappling with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2). infection can cause fever, a dry cough, fatigue, pneumonia, distress syndrome, and in some cases death. There no effective antiviral SARS-CoV-2 drug. To reduce number of infections deaths, it critical to focus on strengthening immunity. This review aims conduct comprehensive search previous studies using Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Medline, PubMed, Scopus for collection research papers based role zinc immune system, activity zinc, effect supplementation infections, therapeutic approaches against viral medicinal plants, plants' bioactive molecules fighting infections. In conclusion, we highlighted pivotal immunity suggested derived from plants as matrix development anti-SARS-CoV-2 drugs.

Abstract. This study was conducted to gather sufficient information on the possible mechanism of role zinc in pathogenesis COVID-19. The method used this is a literature that collects several previous studies determine results indicate there are various mechanisms COVID-19 such as preventing virus entry by increasing epithelial integrity, ability mucociliary clearance mechanisms, decreasing ACE-2 receptor expression, viral replication inhibiting RNA polymerase, eliminating viruses destabilizing them. envelope, regulates immune system activation natural killer cells, cytotoxic T amplifies B cell signaling, antibody formation and regulatory activity expression nuclear factor kappa maintain balanced response. Thus, it can be said has from entering, making replication, virus, maintaining balance responses when someone exposed COVID-19.
