Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a predominant form of liver cancer and one the leading causes cancer-related death globally. Therefore, there an urgent need for innovative therapeutic strategies that target molecular mechanisms underlying HCC progression metastasis, aiming to improve treatment efficacy patient survival. The natural product celastrol (Cel) has demonstrated inhibitory effects in various cell lines. However, its clinical application been hindered by high toxicity low safety threshold. Metal-free quantum dots (QDs), AgInS2 (AIS QDs) not only eliminate toxic risks associated with heavy metals but also exhibit biocompatibility biomedical field. By developing AIS QD@Cel, QDs nano-delivery system Cel, selectivity Cel on were enhanced. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis revealed can interact via amide bonds. encapsulation rate reached 27.5%. QD@Cel eliminated 293T enhanced inhibition cells over 10 times. Furthermore, western blotting flow cytometry experiments showed promoted apoptosis autophagy signal pathway. Finally, transcriptome sequencing effect regulating gene expression involved critical signaling pathways are implicated cancer. This strategy holds potential increase threshold applicability offering significant value patients.
