Given the interrelated health of children and parents, strategies to promote stress regulation are critically important in family context. However, uptake preventive mental is limited among parents owing competing demands.In this study, we aim determine whether it feasible acceptable randomize digital prompts designed engage real-time brief mindfulness activities guided by a commercially available app.We conducted 30-day pilot microrandomized trial sample who used Android smartphones. Each day during parent-specified time frame, participants had 50% probability receiving prompt with message encouraging them activity using commercial app, Headspace. In 24 hours following randomization, ecological momentary assessments passively collected smartphone data were assess proximal engagement (yes or no) app any (with without app). These combined baseline exit surveys feasibility acceptability.Over 4 months, 83 interested screened, 48 eligible, 16 enrolled, 10 successfully onboarded. Reasons for nonparticipation included technology barriers, privacy concerns, constraints, change mind. total, 80% (8/10) onboarded completed all aspects intervention. While delivery, only 60% (6/10) reported that timing was helpful despite having control over delivery window. Across study period, observed higher self-reported Headspace on days (31/62, days), as opposed (33/103, 32% days). This pattern consistent most (7/8, 87%). Background Germany is the first country worldwide that has introduced a digital care act as an incentive system to enhance use of health devices, namely apps and wearables, among its population. The allows physicians prescribe statutory financed previously certified wearables patients. This initiative potential improve treatment quality through better disease management monitoring. Objective aim this paper was outline key concepts related risks benefits discussed in current literature about wearables. Furthermore, study aimed answer research question: Which may result from implementation Germany? Methods We conducted scoping by searching databases PubMed, Google Scholar, JMIR using keywords 55 136 identified articles published English language 2015 March 2019 qualitative thematic analysis approach. Results four themes within articles: Effectivity health; users wearables; bring-your-own, self-tracked data; concerns data privacy risks. Within these themes, we three main stages for German system: Usage continuing sharing bring-your-own; with different agents sector. Conclusions could lead improvement patient monitoring, management, personalized therapy, education.
