Mental health complaints are increased in survivors of natural hazards and disaster responders. This meta-analysis assessed the efficacy psychological psychosocial interventions for prevention mental disorders after exposure to hazards. We searched Web Science, PsycINFO MEDLINE peer-reviewed randomised controlled trials evaluating preventive targeting symptoms post-traumatic stress disorder, depression anxiety. Trials conducted both, civilians responders, were included. Random-effect meta-analyses assess relative active passive control conditions. The results from 10 included studies (5068 participants) did not find be superior compared with or conditions regarding disorder (g=0.08 g=0.05) (g=0.13 g=0.32, respectively).
