Abstract Anthocyanins are water-soluble pigments contained in numerous food plants. This study provides an overall quantitative literature analysis on anthocyanins. Bibliometric data were collected through the search string TOPIC = anthocyan*, which yielded 44,121 publications indexed within Web of Science Core Collection. Term maps generated using VOSviewer software to visualize frequently mentioned terms alongside their citation data. The has been growing fast since 2000s and predominantly consists original articles, with a ratio 13.8:1 compared reviews. most productive author was Professor Victor de Freitas from University Porto, whereas countries China United States. Many published science & technology plant sciences journals. Frequently chemicals/chemical classes included anthocyanin, flavonoid, cyanidin, phenolic compound, polyphenol. Recurring items anthocyanin papers grapes, many berries, specific varieties rice, maize, potato, tomato.

Animal Science Papers and Reports, Journal Year: 2024, Volume and Issue: 42(2), P. 173 - 188

Published: June 1, 2024

Abstract The aim of the study was to evaluate effect pomegranate juice consumption on bone histomorphometric parameters using an animal model. animals (rats) were divided into 7 experimental groups. groups differed in concentration administered. control group received only water, other supplied with commercial or freshly squeezed at concentrations 10%, 25% and 50%. To structure proximal end tibia, a Skyscan 1174 X-ray microtomography device, equipped 1.3Mp FW VDS camera, used. (metaphysis) left tibia examined. following tissue analysed: mineral density (BMD) (mm3), number trabeculae (Tb.N) (mm-1), trabecular separation (Tb.Sp) (mm) thickness (Tb. Th) (mm), BS/BV(mm-1). It found that juice, both commercial, significantly increased (BMD), (Tb.TH), reduced distance between (Tb.SP) compared receiving concentrations. highest BMD, thickest smallest observed after application fresh juice. Thus, it can be concluded especially squeezed, improves density.

Abstract Ginger ( Zingiber officinale ) has been utilized for medicinal and culinary purposes thousands of years. Its extensive history showcases diverse uses health benefits. In this study, we conducted a thorough analysis the scientific literature landscape surrounding ginger using bibliometric techniques, aiming to explore recurring topics, trends, influential contributors, main journals publishing ginger-related research. Utilizing Web Science (WoS) Core Collection, identified 9,881 relevant papers published up October 4, 2023. The revealed an exponential growth in both publication citation counts since mid-2000s. Key phytochemical constituents, including gingerols shogaols, emerged as focal points most frequently mentioned medical condition term was ‘Cancer’ (n = 577), followed by ‘Obesity’ 180) ‘COVID’ 176). Journals such Journal Ethnopharmacology Food Chemistry played leading roles sharing articles. Our study offers broad overview research, highlighting significant increase scholarly interest globally. This not only contributes quantitative insights existing but also provides roadmap future investigations on ginger. positions promising candidate addressing contemporary challenges, inviting further exploration clinical studies.
