The performances of two linear aerospike nozzles, generated by truncating the same plug contour at 40% and 20% its ideal length, are investigated numerically within a two-dimensional approximation compared with each other. nozzle geometry is 2D representation, extracted from CAD model actual nozzles under experimental investigation. In working conditions studied here, throttled differentially, setting different flow on upper lower inlet, aim generating thrust vectoring effects. flowfield both aerospikes for values pressure ratio (npr) ranging 3.7 up to design condition (NPR=200), several levels differential throttling. CFD approach adopted based RANS model. Comparisons between numerical data performed conditions: without results in good agreement data. Moreover, simulations throttling case have shown deflection about 5 degrees, approximately 10 percent.
