IMPLEMENTATION OF STUNTING REDUCTION REGULATIONS AND POLICIES IN EAST LOMBOK REGENCY, INDONESIA

Objective:
This
research
aims
to
develop
a
theoretical
model
for
implementing
stunting
management
policies
applicable
in
East
Lombok
Regency,
Indonesia,
and
other
districts
with
high
prevalence
across
Indonesia
through
the
enactment
of
statutory
regulations.
The
study
focuses
on
community
engagement,
cross-sector
collaboration,
capacity
building.
Theoretical
framework:
Drawing
upon
Network
Policy
Model
concept
supported
by
Social-Ecological
from
USAID.
Methodology:
Employing
qualitative
approach,
utilizes
phenomenological
incidents,
complemented
focus
group
discussions
interviews.
Field
observations
are
integrated
validate
data.
Research
is
conducted
11
intervention
10
non-intervention
sub-districts.
Results:
2023
exhibited
significant
decrease
17.46%
(2022)
14.22%
wasting
rate
5.93%
5.07%.
Four
aspects
success
emerged:
mapping
areas,
improved
regulations,
involvement,
collaborative
education
programs.
Conclusion:
Successful
sub-districts
Regency
began
mapping.
Government
collaboration
SEAMEO
RECFON,
UNICEF,
universities
was
pivotal.
Regulatory
improvements
included
strengthening
marriage
regulations
school
Community
involvement
programs
were
vital,
ensuring
comprehensive
program
implementation.
Recommendation:
five
recommendations

encouraging
active
participation,
improving
governance
structure,
enhancing
building
continuing
expanding
training
initiatives

regional
representatives,
fostering
partnerships
between
organizations,
NGOs,
academic
institutions,
international
organizations;
efforts
can
leverage
diverse
