The COVID-19 pandemic has given an impact on various aspects of human life forcing humans to adapt the existing condition. This study aimed explore adaptation process toward in Indonesia. research method applied was quantitative-descriptive. A total 544 Indonesian citizens filled out online social perception risk and spread scale through a google form. results focused adaptive response community consisting both perceptions behaviors. found that society deal with did not only occur at individual level but also collective level. At level, there were two kinds psychological namely active passive. this suggested coping is important form social-psychological which solidarity essence process.

User motivation in fake news sharing during the COVID-19 pandemic: an application of the uses and gratification theory DOI

Purpose This study developed a predictive model that established the user motivational factors predict COVID-19 fake news sharing on social media. Design/methodology/approach The partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was used for analysis. Data were drawn from 152 Facebook and WhatsApp users in Nigeria to examine research formulated using uses gratification theory (UGT). Findings We found altruism, instant sharing, socialisation self-promotion predicted related pandemic among media Nigeria. Specifically, altruism strongest predictor behaviour COVID-19, followed by socialisation. On contrary, entertainment had no association with COVID-19. Practical implications suggest intervention strategies which nudge people be sceptical of information they come across also recommend healthcare providers Nigerian government provide relevant this current pandemic. Abstract Aim This study aims to explore the lived experiences of frontline nurses providing nursing care for COVID‐19 patients in Qatar. Design Qualitative, Phenomenological. Methods Nurses were recruited from a designated facility using purposive and snowball sampling. The participants interviewed face‐to‐face semi‐structured interview questions 6 September–10 October 2020. interviews transcribed analyzed Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Result A total 30 interviewed; (76.7%) deployed >6 months. Three major themes drawn analysis: (a) Challenges working (subthemes: new context environment, worn out by workload, struggle wearing protective gear, fear COVID‐19, witnessing suffering); (b) Surviving keeping it safe with extra measures, change eating habits, teamwork camaraderie, social support); (c) Resilience true calling, sense purpose).

The novel coronavirus 2019 pandemic has brought about an overabundance of misinformation concerning the virus (SARS-CoV-2) and disease (COVID-19) it causes spreading rapidly on social media. While some more obviously untrustworthy sources may be easier for media filters to identify remove, early feature was cobranding COVID-19 with other types misinformation. To examine this, top 10 Instagram posts (in English) were collected every day days (April 21–30th, 2020) each hashtags #hoax, #governmentlies, #plandemic. #hoax selected first as is commonly used in conspiracy theory posts, #governmentlies because most cotagged #hoax. However, a few randomized controlled trials, publication bias may led such having higher likelihood appearing literature.
