Abstract Background It has been observed that nowadays sleep problems are affecting an increasing number of people. Researchers from around the world trying to find a substance would significantly improve lives people struggling with disorders, while being widely available and free side effects. Objectives The purpose this article was summarize benefits using supplements quality. Material methods conclusions were formulated by analyzing literature 2017–2024 (PubMed database). For paper, studies on relatively safe use profile for any individual compared prescription drugs selected. Results Poor quality affects mental physical health, is risk factor many diseases, worsens their prognosis, impairs person’s efficiency during day. Among used nocturnal rest melatonin, whose positive effects found in patients who older, herbal preparations such as valerian, saffron, cannabinoids, ashwagandha, Melissa officinalis, L-theanine, which appears be best supplement suffering including depression anxiety. In addition, vitamin D probiotics investigated. Conclusions Currently, there no improves every patient difficulty resting at night. coming years, may new reports efficient safe.

Modern medical treatment of insomnia is often associated with issues like addiction, drug resistance, and a high risk relapse post withdrawal. To tackle these challenges, the Chinese medicine formula Shuhe granule (SHG) has been employed in at Guangdong Provincial Hospital Medicine. Despite this, there currently lack reliable evidence from evidence-based trials to support widespread use SHG treatment. Therefore, we have developed randomized controlled trial assess efficacy safety This study will be single-center, double-blind, randomized, parallel group, placebo-controlled clinical involving total 160 eligible patients aged between 18 65. Participants randomly assigned either intervention receiving SHG, or placebo group granules. Follow-up visits occur every 2 weeks baseline months. The primary outcome perceived severity measured by Insomnia Severity Index. secondary measures include Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Fatigue Scale, Patient Health Questionnaire, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Visual Analogue Traditional syndrome score, Polysomnography. results are expected provide methodological reporting quality on for insomnia. http://itmctr.ccebtcm.org.cn/, ITMCTR2024000035.

Insomnia, recognized as a prevalent sleep disorder, has garnered extensive attention within the realm of public health. Recent studies indicate close interaction between immune system and sleep; however, specific mechanism remains not yet fully understood. Based on publicly available Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) data, we used two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses to investigate associations 731 cell traits insomnia risk. Five MR analysis methods comprehensive sensitivity were evaluate reliability results. In this study, identified that 14 characteristics among four profiles [median fluorescence intensity (MFI), relative count (RC), absolute (AC), morphological parameters (MP)] demonstrated significant causal association with insomnia. Specifically, eight associated an increased risk insomnia, including CD11c+ monocyte% (
