Resveratrol is a polyphenol with diverse pharmacological activities, but its clinical efficacy limited due to low solubility/permeability, light-induced isomerization, auto-oxidation, and rapid metabolism. Nanodelivery systems, such as liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, lipid nanocarriers, micelles, nanocrystals, inorganic nanoemulsions, protein-based exosomes, macrophages, red blood cells (RBCs) have shown great potential for improving the solubility, biocompatibility, therapeutic of resveratrol. This review comprehensively summarizes recent advances in resveratrol nanoencapsulation describes strategies improve pharmacokinetics existing nanoformulations, enhance targeting, reduce toxicity, increase drug release encapsulation efficiency. The article also suggests that order avoid safety issues, nanoformulations must be tested vivo wide range diseases.

Naturally occurring extracellular vesicles (EVs) and synthetic nanoparticles like liposomes have revolutionized precision diagnostics medicine. EVs excel in biocompatibility cell targeting, while offer enhanced drug loading capacity scalability. The clinical translation of is hindered by challenges including low yield heterogeneity, whereas face rapid immune clearance limited targeting efficiency. To bridge these gaps, biomimetic (SVs) emerged as innovative platforms, combining the advantageous properties liposomes. This review emphasizes critical aspects EV biology, such mechanisms EV-cell interaction source-dependent functionalities modulation, tissue regeneration, informing SV engineering. We reviewed a broad array SVs, with focus on lipid bilayered functionalized proteins. These include cell-derived nanovesicles, protein-functionalized liposomes, hybrid vesicles. By addressing current highlighting opportunities, this aims to advance SVs for transformative biomedical applications.

The advent of immunotherapy has marked a new era in cancer treatment, offering significant clinical benefits. Cell membrane as drug delivery materials played crucial role enhancing therapy because their inherent biocompatibility and negligible immunogenicity. Different cell membranes are prepared into nanovesicles (CMNs), but CMNs have limitations such inefficient targeting ability, low efficacy, unpredictable side effects. Genetic engineering deepened the critical immunotherapy, enabling genetically engineered-CMN (GCMN)-based therapeutics. To date, that surface modified by various functional proteins been developed through genetic engineering. Herein, brief overview strategies for features sources is discussed, followed description GCMN preparation methods. application GCMNs directed at different immune targets addressed challenges prospects translation.
