Glioblastoma (GBM) tumors are the most aggressive primary brain in adults that, despite maximum treatment, carry a dismal prognosis. GBM exhibit tissue hypoxia, which promotes tumor aggressiveness and maintenance of glioma stem cells creates an overall immunosuppressive landscape. This article reviews how hypoxic conditions overlap with inflammatory responses, favoring proliferation inhibiting cytotoxic T cell development. Immunotherapies, including vaccines, immune checkpoint inhibitors, CAR-T therapy, represent promising avenues for treatment. However, challenges such as heterogeneity, TME, BBB restrictiveness hinder their effectiveness. Strategies to address these challenges, combination therapies targeting actively being explored improve outcomes patients. Targeting hypoxia immunotherapy represents potential strategy enhance treatment efficacy.

Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is the most important cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. While it traditionally attributed to lipid accumulation in vascular endothelium, recent research has shown that plaque inflammation an additional driver atherogenesis. Though clinical outcome trials utilizing anti-inflammatory agents have proven promising terms reducing ASCVD risk, imperative identify novel actionable targets are more specific atherosclerosis mitigate adverse effects associated with systemic immune suppression. To end, this review explores contributions various cells from innate adaptive system promoting mitigating by integrating findings experimental studies, high-throughput multi-omics technologies, epidemiological research.

Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is sixth most common malignancy in women. research has demonstrated microbes play a critical role development and metastasis of EC. However, it remains unclear whether intratumoral are associated with microenvironment (TME) prognosis In this study, we collected EC data from cBioPortal constructed prognostic model based on Resident Microbiome Endometrium (RME). We then examined relationship between RME score, immune cell infiltration, immunotherapy-related signature, prognosis. The findings independent value score for group low scores had higher enrichment cells. Drug sensitivity analysis revealed may serve as potential predictor chemotherapy efficacy. conclusion, our offers new perspectives relationships immunity microbes.

Breast cancer (BC) continues to pose a significant burden on global cancer-related morbidity and mortality, primarily driven by metastasis. However, the combined influence of microRNAs (miRNAs) intratumoral microbiota BC metastasis remains largely unexplored. In this study, we aimed elucidate interplay between composition, miRNA expression profiles, their collective development in patients employing 16S rRNA sequencing qPCR methodologies. Our findings revealed an increase miR-149-5p, miR-20b-5p, miR-342-5p metastatic breast (Met-BC) patients. The Met-BC exhibited heightened microbial richness diversity, attributed diverse pathogenic bacteria. Taxonomic analysis identified several pro-inflammatory species enriched Met-BC, contrasting with non-metastatic (NonMet-BC) patients, which displayed enrichment potential probiotic anti-inflammatory species. Notably, verified baseline prognostic signature for its clinical relevance further validated impact overall survival. conclusion, observed disparities species-level bacterial abundance suggest involvement progression. holds promise risk assessment, paving way personalized interventions improved outcomes
