Objectives: The objective of this study was to examine the association between non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) high-density (HDL-C) ratio (NHHR) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods: This originated from a survey carried out Zhejiang Province, located eastern China, March November 2018. To explore relationship NHHR CKD, multivariable logistic regression model employed. dose-response assessed using restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis, while generalized additive models (GAMs) were applied associations urinary albumin-to-creatinine (UACR) as well estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). Subgroup analyses performed across various demographic clinical categories assess consistency NHHR-CKD association. optimal cutoff for CKD diagnosis, its predictive accuracy, comparison components HbA1c determined through receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Results: enrolled 1756 participants, including 485 individuals 1271 without CKD. Multivariable revealed significant positive each standard deviation (SD) increase linked 23% higher odds (OR = 1.23, 95% CI: 1.09-1.37) after adjusting potential confounders. When comparing quartiles, fully adjusted ORs Q2, Q3, Q4 1.29 (0.92-1.79), 1.31 (0.94-1.83), 1.87 (1.34-2.60), respectively, relative Q1 (p trend < 0.01). RCS analysis confirmed linear both sexes nonlinearity > 0.05). GAMs indicated correlation UACR (ρ 0.109, p 0.001) but no eGFR -0.016, 0.502). demonstrated consistent most subgroups, except 18-44 years age group, well-controlled glycemic non-alcohol drinking group ROC identified an 3.48 prediction, area under (AUC) 0.606 (95% 0.577-0.635). Notably, outperformed individual performance. Conclusions: link levels increased prevalence T2DM patients. may also serve complementary biomarker early detection, though further prospective studies are needed confirm value utility high-risk populations.

Ferroptosis, a novel concept of programmed cell death proposed in 2012, kidney disease, has garnered significant attention based on evidence abnormal iron deposition and lipid peroxidation damage the kidney. Our study aim to examine trends future research directions field ferroptosis so as further explore target or treatment strategy for clinical disease. A thorough survey using Web Science Core Collection, focusing literature published between 2012 2024 examining interaction disease was conducted. VOSviewer, CiteSpace, Biblioshiny were used in-depth scientometric visualized analyses. From 2024, total 2,244 articles met inclusion criteria final analysis. Background Burkitt’s lymphoma (BL) is a rare, highly aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin’s known for rapid proliferation. While most patients respond well to intensive chemotherapy, those who are older, have comorbidities, or develop therapy resistance show limited outcomes. Purpose This study aims evaluate the in vitro anti-tumor activity of dehydroleucodine (DhL), novel plant-derived chemotherapeutic agent, against BL cells and elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying its effects. Methods A screening 42 small molecules identified DhL as potent inhibitor growth. We evaluated DhL’s effects on cell cycle progression, apoptosis, ferroptosis pathways using viability assays, flow cytometry, transcriptomic analysis, validation experiments. Results demonstrated robust specific anti-proliferative Daudi cells. Mechanistic investigations revealed that exerts through modulation, induction ferroptosis. Transcriptomic analysis SLC7A11 critical regulator DhL-mediated ferroptosis, which was further validated experimentally. Conclusion shows strong potential agent treatment by targeting SLC7A11-mediated Further investigation warranted confirm efficacy clinical utility diverse patient populations.

ABSTRACT Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic, degenerative joint disease primarily characterised by damage to the articular cartilage, synovitis and persistent pain, has become one of most common diseases worldwide. In OA various forms cell death have been identified, including apoptosis, necroptosis autophagic death. Ever‐growing observations indicate that ferroptosis, newly‐discovered iron‐dependent form regulated death, detrimental occurrence progression. this review, we first analyse pathogenetic mechanisms which iron overload, inflammatory response mechanical stress contribute ferroptosis. We then discuss how ferroptosis exacerbates progression, focusing on its impact chondrocyte viability, synoviocyte populations extracellular matrix integrity. Finally, highlight several potential therapeutic strategies targeting could be explored for treatment OA.
