Bronchial asthma is a heterogeneous disease characterized by persistent respiratory system inflammation, airway hyperreactivity, and airflow obstruction. Airway remodeling, defined as changes in wall structure such extensive epithelial damage, smooth muscle hypertrophy, collagen deposition, subepithelial fibrosis, key feature of asthma. Lung fibrosis common occurrence the pathogenesis fatal long-term asthma, it associated with severity resistance to therapy. It can thus be regarded an irreversible consequence asthma-induced inflammation remodeling. Asthma heterogeneity presents several diagnostic challenges, particularly distinguishing between chronic other pulmonary diseases disruption normal lung architecture functions, obstructive disease. The search for instruments that predict development structural lungs, components remodeling difficult. To overcome these significant efforts are being directed toward discovery investigation molecular characteristics biomarkers capable different types well disorders similar characteristics. main features bronchial etiology, pathogenesis, morphological asthma-associated successive stages one process will discussed this review. most murine models progression post-asthmatic also covered. mechanisms cellular players asthmatic described systematized review intended help new markers promising therapeutic targets prediction

Biomarkers for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with rhinitis and/or asthma are urgently needed. Although some biologic biomarkers exist in specialist care asthma, they cannot be largely used primary care. There no validated or allergen immunotherapy (AIT) that can clinical practice. The digital transformation health (including mHealth) places patient at center system is likely to optimize practice allergy. Allergic Rhinitis its Impact on Asthma (ARIA) EAACI (European Academy Allergy Clinical Immunology) developed a Task Force aimed proposing patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) as easily different purposes asthma. It first defined control should make bridge between practice, randomized controlled trials, observational real-life studies challenges. Using MASK-air app model, daily electronic combined symptom-medication score allergic diseases (CSMS) (e-DASTHMA), monthly questionnaire, was embedded strategy similar diabetes approach disease control. There is an intense focus on the identification of novel biomarkers chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to enhance clinical decisions in patients with stable and acute exacerbations (AECOPD). Though several local (airway) circulatory inflammatory have been proposed, emerging evidence also suggests a potential role for routine haematological parameters, e.g., red cell distribution width (RDW). We conducted systematic literature search PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, from inception April 2022, articles investigating diagnostic prognostic RDW COPD AECOPD. The risk bias was assessed using Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Checklist. Significant associations between presence severity disease, outcomes (mortality, hospital readmission), other relevant parameters (right heart failure, arterial hypertension) were reported 13 out 16 studies (low 11 studies), 17 21 AECOPD studies). Pending further research, our review that might be useful, singly or combination diagnosis stratification (PROSPERO registration number: CRD42022348304).

Neuroinflammation has a significant impact on different pathologies, such as stroke or spinal cord injury, intervening in their pathophysiology: expansion, progression, and resolution. involves oxidative stress, damage, cell death, playing an important role neuroplasticity motor dysfunction by affecting the neuronal connection responsible for control. The diagnosis of this pathology is performed using neuroimaging techniques molecular diagnostics based identifying measuring signaling molecules specific markers. In parallel, new therapeutic targets are being investigated via use bionanomaterials electrostimulation to modulate neuroinflammatory response. Bronchial asthma is a widely prevalent illness that substantially impacts an individual's health standard worldwide and has significant financial impact on society. Global guidelines for managing do not recommend the routine use of antimicrobial agents because most episodes condition are linked to viral respiratory tract infections (RTI), bacterial infection appears have insignificant impact. However, antibiotics recommended when there high-grade fever, consolidation chest radiograph, purulent sputum contains polymorphs rather than eosinophils. Managing acute bronchial with sepsis, specifically choice whether or initiate treatment, remains difficult since currently no practical clinical radiological markers allow simple distinction between infections. Researchers found serum procalcitonin (PCT) values can efficiently safely minimize antibiotic usage in individuals severe asthma. Again, manifestations RTI similar, as frequently used test values, like C-reactive protein (CRP) white blood cell (WBC) count, making it harder doctors differentiate patients. The role scope each biomarker been precisely defined yet, although they all established aid healthcare professionals their diagnostics treatment strategies.
