Introduction/Objective Fas ligand (FasL) induces apoptosis when interacting with the Fas-receptor. The aim was to determine concentration of soluble (sFas) and FasL (sFasL) in aqueous humor (AH) open-angle glaucoma patients, establish a connection between these markers parameters structural functional damage. Methods This study examined 88 AH samples; 35 primary elevated intraocular pressure (POAG-HTG) 24 open angle pseudoexfoliative patients (XFG) 29 senile cataract (CAT). sFas sFasL determined by commercial ELISA tests AH. Results conducted showed that highest XFG (720.14 ? 167.39 pg/ml), slightly lower POAG-HTG (713.43 162.69 than (632.46 217.11 without statistical significance. There significant negative correlation thickness peripapillary nerve fibers retina (RNFL) inferior (p < 0.05). lowest (9.28 0.551 higher (9.45 0.61 pg/ml; p = 0.0566), group (9.48 0.73 pg/ml). A MD POAG-HTG, RNFL superior were significant. Conclusion has an active role regulation inflammatory process glaucoma. sFasL, as apoptosis, are associated structural, thinning, damage, namely visual field defects.

In previous study we detected increased proliferation capacity and upregulation genes related survival boundary cap neural crest stem cells (BC) after MASER14 sounding rocket flight compared ground-based controls. However, whether these were due μg or hypergravity was not clarified. current MASER15 experiment BCs exposed simultaneously 1 g conditions provided by an onboard centrifuge. displayed markedly on board controls, genetic analysis harvested 5 h revealed upregulation, specifically μg-exposed BCs, Zfp462 transcription factor, key regulator cell pluripotency neuronal fate. This associated with alterations exosome microRNA content between specimens. Since specimens from obtained for week's delay, examined gene expression different experiments, which flight.
