Planting aluminum-tolerant legume green manure is a cost-effective and sustainable method to increase soil fertility as well decrease Al toxicity in acidic soils. By analyzing the relative root elongation of seven species, common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) was identified an Al-resistant species. Furthermore, cultivars 418 (cv. Sujian No.3) 426 Lanjian were -sensitive cultivars, respectively, among 12 germplasms. The growth less inhibited by both germination stage seedling than that 426. Under toxicity, accumulated roots shoots. Citrate more abundant compared oxalate or malate. internal citrate contents showed no significant difference between under either control treatment. However, efflux increased response but not higher stress Consistently, VsMATE1 expression faster greater extent stress. These results indicated VsMATE1-mediated might play important role resistance vetch. It suggested valuable candidate gene for aluminum breeding.

Objective: Evaluate the effectiveness of green manures (Oats and vetch association) as a sustainable soil management tool by analyzing spontaneous plant control biomass contribution under different planting densities in Andean soils. Method: The study employed randomized complete block design with four treatments (control, 80 kg/ha, 100 120 kg/ha) five replications at Tunshi Experimental Station. Measurements included diversity using Simpson Shannon indices, through fresh dry weight assessment. Results Discussion: kg/ha treatment proved most effective, demonstrating higher dominance over plants (Simpson index 0.60) superior production (1.88 fresh, 0.60 biomass). Statistical analysis (ANOVA, p < 0.05) confirmed significant differences between treatments, T3 showing optimal performance both weed suppression contribution. Research Implications: Limited specific regional focus (inter-Andean climate), single growing season evaluation, restricted type analysis. guides agricultural practices regions, particularly benefiting small-scale farmers reduced chemical input dependency. Originality/Value: Provides empirical evidence for manure soils, addressing critical issue degradation affecting 47% Ecuador's land. findings offer practical solutions inter-Andean region.

Rice-based cropping systems are the predominant sources of livelihood for farmers in South Asia, where soil quality decline is a major concern. An experiment was conducted at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, 2018–2019 and 2019–2020. It comprised two rice cultivars, ‘Manaswini’ (M) ‘Hasanta’ (H), three nitrogen management practices—100% test-based (STN) (N100), 75% STN + situ green manuring (Sesbania) (N75+GM), 50% (N50+GM)—in main plot. Meanwhile, sub-plots consisted tillage methods succeeding toria–sweet corn, namely zero (ZT), conventional (CT), furrow-irrigated raised bed (FIRB). The laid out split plot design with four replications to assess system nutrient uptake, productivity, quality. Both cultivars were equal terms uptake. N75+GM practice recorded highest NPK uptake (304.1, 70.34, 343.5 kg ha−1, respectively), enhancing N by 10.7 7.4%, P 18.8 12.2%, K 9.8 9.6% over N100 N50+GM, respectively. China is a largely agricultural country, while the drought climate in northern of more and severe, which influences on agriculture production seriously. The over-exploitation groundwater critical issue low plains Hebei Province. To address this challenge, government has implemented winter fallow rain-fed crop planting policies. In alignment with these policies ensure sustainable utilization protection cultivated land, study conducted long-term field experiments using three green manure foxtail millet rotation models at Shenzhou District experimental base, Hengshui City, Thefoxtail yield, soil bacterial community characteristicsc, physicochemical properties were analyzed to identify an optimal model for promoting development. results revealed that manure-foxtail significantly increased yield compared millet-rallow rotation. millet–Triticum secale achieved highest increase, 12.47% average improvement thousand-seed weight 2021 2022 millet-fallow This also led largest increase available phosphorus content, rose by 46.16 37.56% 2022, respectively. Furthermore, diversity richness rhizosphere under model. Beneficial genera, including those Phyla Bacteroidetes Proteobacteria, abundant, relative abundance Acidobacteria was lowest. Correlation analysis showed organic matter, phosphorus, positively correlated multiple genera Proteobacteria but negatively . conclusion, millet– Triticum effectively improved environment supported stable, high yields. Abstract Soil surface charge is a crucial site for nutrient retention and availability. This study assesses the residual effect (second growing season) of formulation ameliorant local-based resources(FALR) on Inceptisols’s change. The FALR’s application in first season Inceptisol planted with green beans previously monoculture system(MS), consisting eight treatments three blocks aligned randomized complete block design (RCBD), namely: [MS-A]=no-treatment; [MS-B]= tithonia fertilizer(TGF)+ biochar bamboo (BB)+ compost Agam(CA)+ chicken manure(CM); [MS-C]=TGF+BB+CM; [MS-D]=TGF+BB+CA; [MS-E]=BB+CA+CM; [MS-F]=TGF+CA+CM; [MS-G]=Conventional farming (CF) [MS-H]=Recommendations Agriculture Ministry (RAM). FALR second was significant changes (pH H 2 O pH KCl), EC (Electrical Conductivity), OMC(Organic Matter Composition), CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity). Where TGF+BB+CM has better impact increasing by 10.89%, KCl 6.78%, 64.47%, OMC 16.57%, 6.29% than no-treatment (4.96; 4.87; 0.197dS/m; 29.53%; 48.47cmol(+)kg −1 ).
