Soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) is essential for converting epoxy fatty acids, such as epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs), into their dihydroxy forms. EETs play a crucial role in regulating blood pressure, mediating anti-inflammatory responses, and modulating pain, making sEH key target therapeutic interventions. Current research increasingly focused on identifying inhibitors from natural sources, particularly marine environments, which are rich bioactive compounds due to unique metabolic adaptations. In this study, the inhibitory activities of ten cembranoid diterpenes (1–10) isolated soft coral Sinularia maxima were evaluated. Among them, 3 9 exhibited considerable inhibition, with IC50 values 70.68 μM 78.83 μM, respectively. Enzyme kinetics analysis revealed that these two active inhibit through non-competitive mode. Additionally, silico approaches, including molecular docking dynamics simulations, confirmed stability interactions sEH, highlighting potential agents managing cardiovascular inflammatory diseases.

Three new sorbicillinoid derivatives, citrinsorbicillinol A-C ( 1 – 3 ), along with three known compounds, such as trichosorbicillin G 4 dibutyl phthalate 5 and 3-(4-methoxyphenyl) propanoic acid 6 were isolated from the endophyte Trichoderma citrinoviride of Coptis chinensis . Their structures elucidated through extensive analyses spectroscopic data, computer-assisted structure elucidation (ACD/Structure Elucidator), density functional theory (DFT) calculations nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra, electronic circular dichroism (ECD). Biologically, compounds exhibited potential antioxidant activity, assessed using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay, IC 50 values ranging 27.8 to 89.6 μM. Abstract BACKGROUND Rice blast, caused by Pyricularia oryzae , is a devastating fungal disease threatening global rice production. Overreliance on chemical fungicides has raised environmental concerns and led to resistant strains, necessitating the development of sustainable alternatives. This study integrated marine microbiology natural antifungal compounds create eco‐friendly alternatives for management. RESULTS We identified Pseudomonas aeruginosa R64 with broad‐spectrum antimicrobial activity from mangrove soil in Mai Po Nature Reserve. The fermentation extract (RFE) exhibited multifaceted inhibition P. suppressing mycelial growth, conidiation, conidial germination appressorial formation, while disturbing cell wall membrane function. It also attenuated virulence impairing penetration invasive growth. Further analysis phenazines quinolines as primary RFE, corroborated PCR detection corresponding phenazine biosynthetic gene clusters. Comparative bioassays two main bioactive components phenazine‐1‐carboxamide (PCN) phenazine‐1‐carboxylic acid (PCA), against implicated PCN principal effector. RFE had higher efficacy than tricyclazole growth inhibition, but were less effective isoprothiolane. Furthermore, displayed lower acute ecotoxicity an indicator organism isoprothiolane, suggesting their potential biopesticides blast CONCLUSION Natural products bacterium inhibited key developmental infection processes effectively reducing development. promising low mangrove‐associated bacteria highlight untapped innovative, fungicide mining agriculture. © 2025 Author(s). The coastal ocean is the dynamic interface where terrestrial, atmospheric, and marine systems converge, acting as a hotspot for microbial activity, which underpins intricate web of carbon nitrogen cycling. Dapeng Bay, typical semi-enclosed bay along southern coastline China, strongly influenced by monsoon climates human activities. Despite its ecological importance, long-term observations investigations into community structure in this region are notably lacking. To address gap, we conducted two-year continuous sampling from May 2021 to June 2023 explore shifts nearshore surface communities assess effects environmental stressors. This study presents comprehensive amplicon, metagenomic, metatranscriptomic information. We identified 3,600 amplicon sequence variants recovered 1,216 high-quality metagenome-assembled MAGs, representing 17 bacterial 3 archaeal phyla. Additionally, 587 MAGs were correlated with transcriptional comprising 539 48 populations. dataset anticipated provide multi-dimensional perspective, enhancing our understanding complexity, dynamics, adaptability environments.
