Endophytic Streptomyces sp. are recognized as a potential resource for valuable natural products but less explored. This study focused on exploring endophytic species residing within tomato plants ( Solanum lycopersicum ) harboring genes the production of novel class antibiotics. Our research involved isolation and characterization VITGV156, newly identified that produces antimicrobial products. VITGV156 harbors genome 8.18 mb codes 6,512 proteins, which 4,993 known function (76.67%) 1,519 unknown (23.32%). By employing genomic analysis, we elucidate landscape this microbial strain shed light various BGCs responsible producing polyketide compounds, with particular emphasis antibiotic kendomycin. We extended our by evaluating antibacterial properties Overall, provides insights into species, particularly prolific producers agents. These findings hold promise further exploitation pharmaceutical offering opportunities development drugs.
