Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the protective effects of pumpkin seed supplementation against lead-induced hepatorenal toxicity in Gallus gallus domesticus. Material and Methods: Young chickens were divided into four groups: control (G0), lead-exposed (G1), seed-treated (G2), combined lead (G3). Lead acetate (0.4 mg/kg body weight) powder (300 administered for weeks. Liver kidney function tests (ALT, AST, ALP, bilirubin, urea, creatinine), lipid profiles (LDL, HDL, cholesterol, triglycerides), antioxidant enzymes (CAT, GPx, GR, SOD) analyzed. Histopathological evaluations liver tissues conducted. Data analyzed using SPSS 25, with P < 0.05 considered significant. Results: exposure increased ALT (14.6 ± 0.01 IU/L), AST (2210.7 10.31 ALP (1970.4 1.07 bilirubin (0.7 0.00 mg/dL), LDL (56.9 0.91 mg/dL). Pumpkin reduced (110.1 8.84 (1360.5 1.00 (22.9 1.04 improved enzyme activities. Conclusion: mitigates oxidative stress improves function, presenting a natural strategy reduce heavy metal poultry.

Gut microbiota plays a crucial role in modulating immune responses, including effector response to infection and surveillance of tumors. This article summarizes the current scientific evidence on effects supplementation with prebiotics, probiotics, synbiotics high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infections, precancerous lesions, various stages cervical cancer development treatment while also examining underlying molecular pathways involved. Our findings indicate that higher dietary fiber intake is associated reduced risk HPV infection, certain probiotics have shown promising results clearing HPV-related lesions. Additionally, strains prebiotics such as inulin fructo-oligosaccharides, decrease frequency gastrointestinal adverse patients. These agents attain their by metabolic pathways, reduction inflammation oxidative stress, promoting apoptosis, inhibiting cell proliferation, suppressing activity oncogenes, thus attenuating tumorigenesis. We conclude although further studies are necessary, robust preclinical models demonstrates play an essential cancer, from carcinogenesis its medical treatment. Consequently, we strongly recommend conducting high-quality clinical trials using these adjuvants since they proven safe.

Type 2 diabetes is a significant health concern in the 21st century, and its prevalence continues to rise despite efforts promote preventive lifestyle changes. This increase has led higher economic burdens, prompting search for non-pharmacological methods manage glucose levels. To assess effects of flaxseed consumption on biochemical markers (glucose, glycated hemoglobin, total cholesterol, triglycerides) adult patients with Oaxaca, Mexico. Participants were recruited randomized into clinical trials between April June 2023, study protocol was approved by Human Research Ethics Committee. Consuming 16 g daily three months decrease glucose, triglyceride levels (p < 0.001) intervention group (n = 82). Belonging control 84) correlated presenting hemoglobin (Spearman's Rho 0.640; p 0.001), 0.352; cholesterol 0.796; triglycerides 0.700; 0.001). ABSTRACT In this research, the amino acid composition, as well calculated protein efficiency ratio (C‐PERa), biological value (C‐BVa), essential index (EsAAIn), nutritional (NuIn), in vitro digestibility (InViDP), and corrected score (PDiCAASc) of a deoiled guamuchil seed flour (DoGSF) were determined indicators its quality. A total 20 acids (AAs) identified, where arginine, glutamic acid, proline, aspartic leucine dominants. The first, second, third limiting AAs methionine, cysteine, tryptophan, respectively. Seven 11 (EsAAs) had content higher than FAO/WHO standard. Hydrophilic (HiAAs), positively charged (PoCAAs), branched‐chain (BrCAAs) showed good proportion DoGSF, with values 59.15%, 27.43%, 14.91%, C‐PERa, C‐BVa, EsAAIn, NuIn, InViDP, PDiCAASc 0.56%–1.71%, 13.84%–29.78%, 46.98%, 15.59%, 72.3%, 45.19%, These results demonstrated that DoGSF could be used complementary source or functional ingredient for development new foods.

The effect of different light colors on the concentration albumins and globulins during black bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) germination was evaluated with an RGB LED lighting system. This study aimed to determine how spectral composition influences protein content across stages. Black seeds were germinated under six sources (red, green, blue, white, violet, cyan), fractions quantified by Bradford’s method. results showed that blue cyan increased albumins. Blue, for compared solar conditions both fractions. positive correlation between these specific wavelengths suggests a metabolic adaptation exposure. These findings highlight potential controlled enhance nutritional quality beans, supporting their application as functional food ingredients. Additionally, this underscores importance photobiological modulation in seed germination, opening new possibilities optimizing plant-based sources. Future research could explore mechanisms behind variations implications production nutrition.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) disproportionately affects minorities in the United States, including Hispanic/Latine population, and is a public health concern Latin American countries. An emphasis on healthy dietary patterns, Mediterranean Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diets, has been suggested as they are associated with lower incidence of CKD, slower CKD progression, mortality failure. However, their applicability may be limited people from America. The Dieta de la Milpa (Diet Cornfield) was recently described pattern choice for Mesoamerica (Central Mexico Central America). This highlights intake four plant-based staple foods this geographical region, corn/maize, common beans, pumpkins/squashes, chilies, complemented seasonal local animal-based foods, collectively classified into ten food groups. Limited preclinical clinical studies suggest several benefits, cardiometabolic health, but there currently no data concerning CKD. In narrative review, we describe highlight potential benefits acid-base balance, protein source, potassium phosphorus management, impact gut microbiota, inflammation, cultural appropriateness.
