This endophytic been observed plants. study an attempt to observe the biodiversity fungal community understand their colonization. The was aimed isolate endophytes from different organs seasonal variations. A total 131 fungi were isolated 450 explants leaves, stems roots W. somnifera. overall colonization rate winter, summer monsoon 42.67%, 7.33% 37.33% respectively. Among identified isolates, most abundant frequently genera Alternaria, Fusarium Chaetomium sps. dominant species winter moniliformae globosum leaves 17.24% 13.79% frequency, While Alternaria raphani 40% density. In monsoon, Microsporum ferruginem stem 61.29% 42.86%, recurring Ascomycetes group alternata seen all seasons.

Introduction: Oral mucositis is a common side effect of methotrexate chemotherapy; it represents challenge for successful cancer treatment, as may lead to discontinuity the chemotherapy. Ashwagandha one most familiar Ayurveda herbs in India. Recently, has gained attention due its favorable biological effects. Aim: Investigation possible protective roots extract on methotrexate-induced oral albino rats. Materials and methods: 40 rats were divided equally into 4 group: (C): received distilled water, (ASH): 300mg/kg ashwagandha root 8 days, (MTX): single dose 60 mg/kg intraperitoneal injection day 4, (MTX/ASH): daily days interrupted with i.p 4.Results: Histopathological examination revealed normal appearance tongue buccal mucosa C ASH groups. In MTX group there was atrophy papilla, decrease epithelial thickness, flattening rete pegs, nuclear pyknosis, hyperchromatism, karyorrhexis, disruption basement membrane, inflammatory cells infiltrate, blood vessels congestion, muscle both mucosae. MTX/ASH group, mucosae maintained appearance. Immunohistochemical results significant Ki67 staining compared groups COX2 increase groups.Conclusion: Prophylactic administration ameliorated induced by chemotherapy, therefore could be good adjuvant therapy during chemotherapeutic treatment.
