Background Systemic immune-inflammatory biomarkers including systemic immune inflammation index (SII), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR), and lymphocyte-to-monocyte (LMR) have been demonstrated to be associated with the risk severity of various liver diseases. However, studies on their role clinical significance in metabolic diseases, especially nonalcoholic fatty disease (NAFLD), are limited results inconsistent. Methods 10821 adults aged 20 years or older were enrolled this cross-sectional study, sourced from six cycles National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Survey-weighted logistic regression was employed investigate correlation between (SII, NLR, PLR, LMR) NAFLD risk. Restricted cubic spline models segmented used describe nonlinear relationships threshold effects. Subgroup sensitivity analyses also conducted. Results After adjusting for all confounding variables, there a significant positive association observed ln-transformed SII (OR= 1.46, 95% CI: 1.27-1.69, P < 0.001), NLR 1.25, 1.05-1.49, =0.015), LMR 1.39, 1.14-1.69, = 0.002) NAFLD. A dose-response relationship an inverted “U”-shaped 4.64 ln(PLR) When below 4.64, each unit increase 0.55-fold 1.55, 1.05-2.31, 0.05). Conversely, when exceeded 0.40-fold decrease 0.60, CI. 0.44-0.81, Conclusion SII, linearly showed

Stroke is one of the predominant causes death and disability. Currently, besides thrombolytic therapy, neuroprotection also generally recognized as a promising way for stroke treatment, which would be very important functional recovery patients. However, it's reported that all current available neuroprotective drugs have failed in clinical investigations treatments so far. Lyoniresinol (LNO) natural lignan with powerful antioxidant cytoprotective activities. In this study, OGD/R leaded HT22 cell damage models Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion (MCAO) rats were used to investigate effect LNO on cerebral ischemic injury related mechanisms. The experiments revealed can suppress oxygen glucose deprivation-reoxygenation (OGD/R) induced apoptosis cells. Subsequently, improve nerve function deficit brain MCAO higher neurological scores less infarct size. And further molecular mechanisms studies suggested activated PI3K/AKT/GSK-3β/NRF2 signaling improved oxidative stress cells inhibit Collectively, our findings useflu drug development new its diseases.

Abstract Background Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia and insulin resistance. Mung bean sprouts are traditionally considered “folk” hypoglycemic food their pharmacological effects underlying mechanisms warrant further investigation. Purpose This study aimed to investigate the anti-diabetic of exosomes-like nanoparticles in mung (MELNs) explore related molecular mechanisms. Results MELNs were isolated using differential centrifugation-polyethylene glycol (PEG) method, identification confirmed PAGE gel electrophoresis, agarose thin-layer chromatography (TLC), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). In high-fat diet/streptozotocin (HFD/STZ) mouse model, ameliorated progression T2DM increasing oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) (ITT) results, decreasing fasting blood level, reducing serum triglycerides (TG) total cholesterol (TC). Histopathological examinations indicated diminished inflammatory infiltration hepatocytes amplified area islet B cells. addition, decreased oxidative stress levels liver tissue had good biocompatibility. vitro experiments verified that improved viability glucosamine (GlcN) induced insulin-resistant hepatocytes. Furthermore, this also revealed upregulated GLUT4 & Nrf2 down-regulated GSK-3β via activating PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, promoting production antioxidant enzymes, such as HO-1 SOD, reduce stress. Conclusion mitigated type HFD/STZ model. The mechanism PI3K/Akt/GLUT4/GSK-3β pathway.

Under physiological or pathological conditions, transient receptor potential (TRP) channel vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) and TRP ankyrin (TRPA1) possess the ability to detect a vast array of stimuli execute diverse functions. Interestingly, increasing works have reported that activation TRPV1 TRPA1 could also be beneficial for ameliorating postoperative ileus (POI). Increasing research has revealed gastrointestinal (GI) tract is rich in TRPV1/TRPA1, which can stimulated by capsaicin, allicin other compounds. This stimulates variety neurotransmitters, leading increased intestinal motility providing protective effects against GI injury. POI most common emergent complication following abdominal pelvic surgery, characterized bowel dysfunction, pain, inflammatory responses. It noteworthy natural herbs are gradually gaining recognition as therapeutic option due lack effective pharmacological interventions. Therefore, focus this paper on TRPV1/TRPA1 channel, an analysis summary processes mechanism activate enhance relieve pain provided, will lay foundation development herb treatments disease.
