The objective of the study was to determine antidiabetic and antihyperlipidemic effects Mangifera camptosperma leaves extract using streptozotocin-induced animal model. M. extracted with hydroethanolic (50:50) solvent soxhlet apparatus. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is often given as an adjuvant alleviate diabetic symptoms. plant extracts were used presence phytochemicals present in them different tests. Diabetes induced on animals streptozotocin (STZ) 65 mg/kg through intra-peritoneal route. Oral administration at doses 200 400 assess its effects. phytochemical analysis showing carbohydrates, alkaloids, tannins, glycosides, flavonoids. control group had blood glucose levels 102 126 mg/kg, respectively, after receiving test medication, but rats treated showed a substantial decrease 90.11 ± 5.71 (200 mg/kg) 82.12 3.99 (400 mg/kg). If compared group, for 21 days resulted (p<0.05) serum total cholesterol (106.12 5.94 mg/dL) triglyceride (83.11 4.04 mg/dL), well increase HDL (36.15 3.04 mg/dL). This found that while administered rats, lowered improved lipid profiles. It can be concluded from may useful treating hyperlipidemic type-2 diabetes alternative medicine.
