The main goal of this systematic review on the flavonol class secondary metabolite quercetin is to evaluate and summarize existing research quercetin's potential health benefits, therapeutic properties, effectiveness in disease prevention treatment. In addition evaluating for drug development with fewer side effects lower toxicity, type attempts collect scientific evidence addressing roles as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticancer agent. first part, we analyze various flavonoid compounds, focusing their chemical structure, classification, natural sources. We highlight most recent biological activities reported literature. Background The interaction between pyroptosis—a form of programmed cell death—and tumor immunity represents a burgeoning field interest. Pyroptosis exhibits dual role in cancer: it can both promote development and counteract by activating immune responses that inhibit evasion encourage death. Current immunotherapy strategies, notably CAR-T therapy checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), alongside the potential certain traditional Chinese medicinal compounds, highlight intricate relationship pyroptosis cancer immunity. As research delves deeper into mechanisms within therapy, its application enhancing emerges as novel avenue. Purpose This review aims to elucidate underlying pyroptosis, impact on biology, advancements research. Methods A comprehensive literature was conducted across PubMed, Embase, CNKI, Wanfang Database from inception study until August 22, 2023. search employed keywords such “pyroptosis”, “cancer”, “tumor”, “mechanism”, “immunity”, “gasdermin”, “ICB”, “CAR-T”, “PD-1”, “PD-L1”, “herbal medicine”, “botanical “Chinese “traditional “immunotherapy”, linked AND/OR, capture latest findings immunotherapy. Results is governed complex mechanism, with Gasdermin family playing pivotal role. While promising for application, pyroptosis’s effect still evolving. Notably, medicine ingredients have been identified inducers, meriting further exploration. Conclusion consolidates current knowledge It reveals beneficial factor immunotherapeutic landscape, suggesting leveraging developing treatment including those involving medicine, forward-looking approach oncology.

Abstract Background Steroid-induced hypergluconeogenesis is a significant contributor to hyperglycemia, often complicating the therapeutic use of steroids. This study investigates potential quercetin, naturally occurring flavonoid, mitigate steroid-induced in Saccharomyces cerevisiae . The levels glucose, total proteins, free amino acids, pyruvate, lactate and antioxidants were assessed quercetin-treated yeast cells induced with betamethasone at different time intervals. glucose uptake treated quercetin was also studied effect steroids on cell viability analyzed. Results Our results show that effectively reduces gluconeogenesis by normalizing metabolites involved process alleviates hyperglycemic effects associated steroid exposure. Silicon dioxide particles (SiO2) have been widely used in food additives. Increasing data demonstrate that SiO2 can cause multisystem damage through oxidative stress. Quercetin (Que) is one of the most popular nutritional antioxidants. Ferroptosis reduces level angiogenesis. However, whether Que alleviates inhibition testicular angiogenesis by relieving SiO2-induced ferroptosis via ROS/PPARγ unclear. Based on this, we established SiO2-exposed mice and C166 cell models added stress activators Sanguinarine chloride (SAN), PPARγ inhibitor GW9662, activator Erastin to vitro. The results showed exposure group had antioxidant dysfunction; was significantly downregulated; levels were increased; reduced. treatment alleviate these changes. addition SAN, reduced effects activating stress, inhibiting PPARγ, ferroptosis, respectively.
