The constantly growing need to increase the production of agricultural products in changing climatic conditions makes it necessary accelerate development new cultivars that meet modern demands agronomists. Currently, breeding process includes stages genotyping and phenotyping optimize selection promising genotypes. One most popular phenotypic methods is pulse-amplitude modulated (PAM) fluorometry, due its non-invasiveness high information content. In this review, we focused on opportunities using chlorophyll fluorescence (ChlF) parameters recorded PAM fluorometry assess state plants drought heat stress predict economically significant traits wheat, as one important crops, also analyzed relationship between ChlF genetic markers.

Wheat is the staple food crop of global importance for its grain nutrient quality. Grain iron and zinc content wheat an important quantitatively inherited trait that influenced by environmental factors such as drought heat stress. Phenotypic evaluation 295 advanced breeding lines from stress program IARI was carried out under timely sown irrigated (IR), restricted irrigated, late-sown conditions at New Delhi during cropping season 2020-21, (GFeC) (GZnC) contents were estimated both control treatments. A statistically significant increase in GFeC GZnC observed compared to control. Genotyping with SNPs 35K Axiom Breeder's array, marker-trait association identified GWAS analysis. Of 23 MTAs identified, seven linked sixteen GZnC. In silico analysis revealed a few transcripts involved various plant metabolism, growth, development activities auxin response factor, root UVB sensitive proteins, potassium transporter, glycosyl transferase, COBRA, F-box-like domain. The can be used molecular after validation also rapid micronutrient-rich varieties mitigate hidden hunger.

Wheat is grown and consumed worldwide, making it an important staple food crop for both its calorific nutritional content. In places where wheat used as a food, suboptimal micronutrient content levels, especially of grain iron (Fe) zinc (Zn), can lead to malnutrition. Grain nutrient influenced by abiotic stresses, such drought heat stress. The best method addressing deficiencies the biofortification crops. prerequisites marker-assisted varietal development are identification genomic region responsible high contents understanding their genetics.A total 193 diverse genotypes were evaluated under stress conditions across years at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, timely sown irrigated (IR), restricted (RI) late (LS) conditions. (GFeC) (GZnC) estimated from control treatment groups. Genotyping all lines study was carried out with single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) Breeder's 35K Axiom Array.Three subgroups observed in association panel based on principal component analysis (PCA) dendrogram analysis. A large whole-genome linkage disequilibrium (LD) block size 3.49 Mb observed. genome-wide identified 16 unique stringent marker trait associations GFeC, GZnC, 1000-grain weight (TGW). silico demonstrated presence 28 potential candidate genes flanking linked SNPs, synaptotagmin-like mitochondrial-lipid-binding domain, HAUS augmin-like complex, di-copper center-containing protein kinase, chaperonin Cpn60, finger, NUDIX hydrolase, etc. Expression levels these vegetative tissues also found. Utilization markers breeding may rapid biofortified combat
