Defoliation is a primary agronomic traits, its variation depends on different plant species or cultivars. The present article assess the leaf morphological responses, oxidative metabolites and enzymatic activities at sheath base of sugarcane cultivars during defoliation stage leaves. mature GT47 strongly wrapped to stem, no stem was exposed. upper lower edges immature fusing abscission zone were parallel, slightly browning area (+ 3 + 7 position). ROC22 cultivar monitored highest sheath-based cellulose lignin content, followed by GT60 GT47. Peroxidase activity higher in edge (ROC22) as compare other malondialdehyde content found GT60, ROC22, exo-β-1,4-glucanase/ cellobiohydrolase margin than lateral medial axis GT60. increased exponentially, gradually decreased from periphery mid-axis leaf. In conclusion, leaves are easy defoliate mainly loose sheaths, large inclination angles, more deformation growth period zone, early with cracks, slow process. Leaf sheaths high fibre showed significant hardness thickness. positive correlation between peroxidase process sheaths.

Sugarcane (Saccharum spp), a significant cash crop in the tropics and subtropics, accounts for 80% of sugar 40% bioethanol world. In China, it is also prominent crop, with cane contributing to over 85% production. recent years, there has been notable shift towards drier slopes Chinese sugarcane cultivation, resulting ecological changes. Over past two decades, scientists have developed theory high-heterogeneous composite high-yield high-sugar breeding, leading successful breeding fifth-generation varieties, among which YZ05-51 representative one. It was by Research Institute (YSRI) Yunnan Academy Agricultural Sciences. Originating from cross between YC90-56 ROC23, demonstrates several excellent agronomic traits, such as high yield, sugar, strong stress resistance wide adaptability, particularly thriving dry slope conditions. By 2023, cultivation reached approximately 479,200 acres, constituting 12.13% total cultivated area province. This variety even surpassed previous records yield non-irrigated areas, achieving remarkable 9.2 tons per acre. To summarize experience inspire innovation, we detailed here insights into logic genetic characteristics YZ05-51. Further, biological mechanisms underlying its traits were investigated at integration transcriptomics metabolomics analysis. The challenges prospects discussed, setting up basis promotion newly bred varieties.

Sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) is a crop of significant industrial and nutritional value, essential for producing various products. Due to its importance, genetic improvement programs involve rigorous selection process. In this study, growth curve models were used analyze the maturity curves 33 hybrids (currently in adaptability testing phase) 6 control varieties (MEX 69-290, ITV 92-1424, CP 72-2086, COLMEX 94-8, 95-27, RB 85-5113) during both plant ratoon periods at Melchor Ocampo Sugar Mill fields Jalisco, México. With use clustering techniques, materials classified into four groups: early, early–intermediate, intermediate–late, late. Hybrids with larger intercept smaller slope as having early early–intermediate maturity. Conversely, intermediate–late late According Connectivity Dunn indexes, DBSCAN algorithm provides best structure cycle, while k-means offers structure. This highlights versatility each context hybrid varietal analysis. These results are crucial optimizing productivity sustainability crop, implications sugar industry.

There an urgent need breed advance cultivars for process. In this article, cross-breeding was carried out using YT01-23 (female parent) and ROC22 (male cultivars, "five nursery system" applied. new cultivar Guitang 10-2018 (GT10-2018) comprehensively assessed through regional demonstrations Guangxi province, Morphological responses 66 (GT66) were observed. The sawing process a key stage management, affecting not only the germination survival rates of sugarcane, but also reflecting mechanical performance sawing. To reduce peak force enhance surface quality seedlings, this study utilized central composite experimental design method. Single-factor multi-factor experiments were conducted specially designed stalk rig to investigate impact factors such as diameter feeding speed, speed on quality. Upon being developed validated, multivariate mathematical regression models elucidated relationships among these factors. results showed that order influence each factor was diameter, feed while quality, sequence speed. Correspondingly, determination coefficients prediction 0.9708 0.9675. With maximum error 7.6% average relative 7.1%, 3.5% 2.83%, calculated from good agreement findings. This indicates are capable quickly accurately predicting stalks under different conditions. research findings provide valuable insights development optimization presawing equipment related studies.

In terms production, areas are concentrated in three dominant sugar-producing belts central southern Guangxi, southwestern Yunnan, western Guangdong; gap yield per unit area between Thailand is small, with Guangdong provinces demonstrating strong advantages sugarcane-producing provinces. trade, an important source country for sugar imports, there ample space import from Thailand. The model study factors influencing planting found that previous area, sold price mu main product sugarcane, value alternative crops (such as rice) significantly impact while industry support policies not significant. It suggested strengthen scientific research cooperation Thailand, expand two countries, enhance complementary advantages.
