Besides devastating physical health consequences, the mental consequences are dire as well and predicted to have a long-term impact for some individuals communities society whole. Specific keywords were entered into various popular databases at three points in time (June 2020, April 2021, February 2022). Articles about that focused on and/or discussed improving resilience/coping reviewed by authors. A total of 119 publications included. is certainly chronic stressor many people, may be traumatized aftermath which lead stress-related disorders. psychological impacts this stress trauma reported findings presented around key themes: impact, workplace, resilience. Prolonged stays in extreme living and working conditions at Antarctic stations can result both negative psychological manifestations possible positive, salutogenic effects. The aim of this study was to check an assumption about existing outcomes their personality predictors expeditioners who participated year-long expeditions. We examined 62 expeditions the Ukrainian Akademik Vernadsky station between 1996 2021, including 59 men three women aged 27 68 years. used Posttraumatic Growth Inventory—Expanded, General Self-Efficacy Scale, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, Sixteen Factor Questionnaire Professional Hardiness Questionnaire. majority (55–71%, on various grounds) recorded personal growth following deployment, a level from moderate high. Based characteristics diagnosed abovementioned questionnaires, we created informative prognostic model explaining 30–45% variation several indicators expeditioners’ post-expedition growth. most important were professional hardiness.
