The creation of lightscapes in colleges and universities are great significance enhancing the perception campus environment, improving physical mental health, shaping humanistic connotations. This research aims to examine lightscape perceptions impacts different campuses. At Chongqing University A B Campuses, walking experiments, subjective questionnaires, objective luminance measurements, HDR picture processing were used factors. relevance differences circadian two campuses analyzed using SPSS software. study found: (1) natural such as sky light, cloud shadow, lake water reflection most popular during daytime, while artificial lightscapes, decorative lighting buildings, positively evaluated at night; (2) frequency visits by a crowd directly ambiance environmental area; (3) males showed strong emotional awareness social interaction skills leading increased activity stronger responses, but no nighttime; (4) optimal nighttime enhances overall satisfaction illumination; (5) amount arrangement outdoor space, vegetation, minor landscape design, service facilities all affect lightscapes. In conclusion, design concepts proposals landscapes suggested optimize college university

Abstract Light exposure is an essential driver of health and well-being, individual behaviours during rest activity modulate physiologically relevant aspects light exposure. Further understanding the that influence photic patterns may provide insight into volitional contributions to physiological effects guide behavioural points intervention. Here, we present a novel, self-reported psychometrically validated inventory capture exposure-related behaviour, Exposure Behaviour Assessment (LEBA). An expert panel prepared initial 48-item pool spanning different behaviours. Responses, consisting rating frequency engaging in per-item behaviour on five-point Likert-type scale, were collected online survey yielding responses from geographically unconstrained sample (690 completed responses, 74 countries, 28 time zones). The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) subsample (n = 428) rendered five-factor solution with 25 items (wearing blue filters, spending outdoors, using phone smartwatch bed, before bedtime, morning daytime). In confirmatory (CFA) performed independent subset participants 262), removed two additional attain best fit for (CFI 0.95, TLI RMSEA 0.06). internal consistency reliability coefficient total instrument yielded McDonald’s Omega 0.68. Measurement model invariance between native non-native English speakers showed our attained highest level (residual CFI 0.05). The design of the light environment plays a critical role in interaction between people and visual objects space. Adjusting space's to regulate emotional experience is more practical for observers under lighting conditions. Although vital spatial design, effects colored lights on individuals' experiences are still unclear. This study combined physiological signal (galvanic skin response (GSR) electrocardiography (ECG)) measurements subjective assessments detect changes mood states four sets conditions (green, blue, red, yellow). At same time, two abstract realistic images were designed discuss relationship their influence impressions. results showed that different colors significantly affected mood, with red having most substantial arousal, then blue green. In addition, GSR ECG correlated impressions evaluation interest, comprehension, imagination, feelings evaluation. Therefore, this explores feasibility combining measurement signals evaluations as an experimental method light, impressions, which provided empirical evidence regulating experiences.

Humans are spending more time indoors than ever due to urbanisation and industrialisation, leading higher electricity consumption in lighting systems. Recent research has demonstrated the significance of maintaining a balance between daylight electric light create an ideal learning environment that can significantly impact students’ academic performance. The objective this study is analyse changes emotional response depending on type classroom—whether it daylight, light, or combination both. A field was conducted with 521 university students assess their affective inside classroom. results show prefer Clear-efficient for writing–reading tasks Soft-calm atmosphere using electronic devices. For paying attention tasks, daylighting determined be best solution, while discussing–teamwork, daylighting. Daylighting found only option like. Despite this, still consider adequate findings may help educators designers spaces promote positive stimulating student by understanding relationship responses.

People spend about 5-8 hours per day on phones, causing circadian disruption and eye fatigue, thus raising a great need for comfort health. Most phones have protection modes, claiming potential effect. To examine the effectiveness, we investigated color quality, namely gamut area just noticeable difference (JNCD), effect, equivalent melanopic lux (EML) daylight efficacy ratio (MDER), characteristics of two smartphones: iPhone 13 HUAWEI P30, in normal mode. The results show that effect is inversely proportional to quality when P30 changed from 102.51% 82.5% sRGB 100.36% 84.55% sRGB, respectively. EML MDER decreased by 15, and, 0.50 0.38, respectively, affected mode screen luminance. JNCD different modes benefits nighttime at cost image quality. This study provides way precisely assess displays elucidates tradeoff relationship between them.

The relationship between the quality of learning environment and student outcomes is receiving more serious attention from educational psychologists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, orthopedists, surgeons, oncologists, architects, ergonomists, nutritionists, Michelin star chefs. There a role for ergonomic office school design to positively impact worker productivity, one attribute drawing indoor lit environment. In this review, we expand upon that light plays in education, as it has enabled millions pupils read at late hours, which were previously too dark. However, still unappreciated biological effects artificial on circadian rhythm its subsequent impacts health outcomes. This review describes current state environment, impact, effect certain inexpensive easy-to-implement adaptations better support growth, development. We find lighting sub-optima based mechanism may be improved through cost effective interventions. These interventions can achieve greater harmonization improve learner outcomes. The institutions pupil biology received minimal thus far. schools not conducive performance. Cost-effective approaches have an outsized attainment. strongly recommend take into account when designing programs.
