Abstract While a substantial body of research demonstrated that talent management practices and organizational commitment are linked to turnover decisions, little is known about the mechanism unfolding this process. This aims unravel relationship between various dimensions intention. First, moderated moderated‐mediation conceptualized, relationships studied by collecting data from 435 faculty members higher educational institutions (HEIs) in southern India. Turnover still occurs in various organizations, including both profit and non-profit. Accordingly, a study of turnover intention (TI) to detect anticipate its prevalence among employees is urgently needed. This explored the impact psychological capital (PsyCap) emotional intelligence (EI) on TI mediated by organizational commitment (OC). A survey-operated causal design with Likert-scale questionnaire was employed gather data from 439 honorary private school teachers Indonesia. Structural equation modeling analysis showed that EI OC negatively affected TI, PsyCap positively OC, through OC. However, did not significantly affect which inconsistent previous studies. These inconsistencies create research gap requires scientific clarification confirmation future research. Practitioners can use this study's results reduce PsyCap, EI, perspectives.

Research purpose: This study investigated organisational commitment of academic personnel working within private in South Africa during COVID-19 pandemic.
