Background: Although the prevalence of depression has increased significantly in recent years, especially young adult population, little is known about its causes and risk factors. The study aims to examine mediating role TikTok use relationships between procrastination adults. Methods: A sample 448 adults, ranging age from 18 35 years (M = 24.45, SD 3.76), including 214 men (48%), participated study. cross-sectional survey consists a modified Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS) assess problematic (PTTU), Pure Procrastination (PPS) for measurement, nine-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) screening symptoms. Mobile phone short video use negatively impacts attention functions: an EEG study

The pervasive nature of short-form video platforms has seamlessly integrated into daily routines, yet it is important to recognize their potential adverse effects on both physical and mental health. Why people watch user-generated videos? A systematic review and meta-analysis

The business ecosystem surrounding user-generated videos (UGVs) is rapidly expanding. However, existing literature on the motivations for UGV consumption presents inconsistencies in findings. This study aims to apply a meta-analytic approach synthesize determinants of viewership, moderators accounting variance effect sizes, and theories elucidating these associations. Through systematic search up March 2023 five academic databases, 46 studies were included meta-analysis. Within extant literature, 145 antecedents viewership examined. Scrolling through adolescence: a systematic review of the impact of TikTok on adolescent mental health

Abstract Amidst rising concerns about mental health in adolescents, the role of social media (SM), particularly highly visual platforms such as TikTok, has become a growing focus investigation. In extant literature, conclusive evidence is limited by aggregate analysis very heterogeneous SM platforms. This systematic scoping review examines relationship between TikTok and adolescents.
