Problematic internet use (PIU) defined as the feeling concern about using this tool irresistibly, for longer periods than usual, accompanied anguish that results from not doing so without reaching mania or hypomania behaviors. Both PIU and DED present theoretical link; however, there are no published studies report its relationship problematic use. Therefore, study aims to determine association between symptomatic Peruvian medical students. Patients Methods: Analytical cross-sectional included human students Peru. For measurement main variables, Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) Internet Addiction Test (IAT) were used. To their relationship, Poisson regression analysis was used, we consider p-value < 0.05 significant. Results: Data 844 analyzed, 35.7% male 64.3% female, an average age 21.8 ± 3.3 years. Likewise, prevalence 70.9%, internet's controlled 85.3%. In adjusted DED, men showed significant differences (p 0.003), those who had PIU, 50% severe well 80% addicted internet. The model increases (PR = 1.17, 95% CI: 1.06– 1.29); women, found both variables. Conclusion: Keywords: health, screen time, psychological stresses,
