Background: Social media usage has significantly increased among university students, leading to concerns regarding its psychological impact. Excessive engagement with social networking sites (SNS) been associated depression, comparison, and sleep disturbances. However, limited research explored these associations in developing regions like Pakistan. Objective: This study aims examine the relationship between addiction depression students Larkana, Sindh, Materials Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted 289 undergraduate postgraduate students. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire incorporating Bergen Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) assess depressive symptoms, respectively. Pearson’s correlation multiple regression analyses performed using SPSS v24.0 evaluate association SNS controlling for demographic lifestyle factors. p-value of <0.05 considered as statistically significant.
