Adverse impacts on children in home isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic have been documented. These include increased loneliness, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic disorder, and heightened risk of psychiatric illness. Abstract Background The prevalence of trauma among young people is alarming due to its considerable effects on their wellbeing and development. Parents can provide crucial support for exposed trauma, however, there limited research how parents help from a youth perspective. Objective This study explored the perspectives regarding strategies approaches take assist cope with traumatic events.
